Set on the beach of Maleme, Hotel Creta Princess Aquapark & Spafeatures several pools and 5 waterslides, 3 bars and 2 restaurants. It offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi access in all areas. The hotel was really nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We landed late so by the time we got to the hotel it was after 11pm and to my surprise we were welcomed with little sandwiches, just something small to eat after a long journey. It was so thoughtful of them. The rooms need a bit of renovation but they are clean and comfortable size. Our room was cleaned every day and our towels were changed daily as well. The location is good too. Maleme is a small town but the hotel is located close to all the amenities needed. Restaurants , shops , bus stops and little beach bars just around the corner. The food was really nice , variety of fish, meat and vegetarian options were available too. The pool area absolutely amazing.2 kiddies pools with slides , one huge pool for adults and a lovely aquapark area. There was also kiddies disco every evening and some entertainment for adults after that. I normally don't go twice to the same place but I would definitely go back there. Highly recommended 👌

Large supermarket on the main road. Approx 400 metres from Oliva Beach. Smaller shops closer. The best place to eat [for us] is Mike's Hotel on the Main Road {next to car rental] Bus stop opposite. A couple of hundred metres further up the Main Road[towards Chania] is a good Gyros bar and a dentist which are both just before the large supermarket. There is a good walk to the German WW2 cemetery ,past Mike's in the direction of Kolymbari .Approx 1 km. From the Oliva Beach if you turn right, and walk along the seafront after approx 500 metres there are a couple of bars/small tavernas. If you carry on walking[ towards Chania ] you get to Gerani.
Maleme is a beautiful pebbly long beach with surrounding hotels and restaurants, all within walking distance. Maleme and Mythos restaurants are my favorites and serve everyday, all day, from breakfast to dinner. A mini market is also in the vicinity. Bars are available for late night recreation. Locals are very polite, outgoing and helpful.
I loved Maleme. There was a lovely walk in each direction along the seafront, with plenty of eateries. A large supermarket on the main road, with a smaller one down towards the beach, with the usual array of souvenirs. If you go to this area, be sure to check out the German WW2 Cemetery, up in the hills. It is actually beautiful, with gorgeous views down over the bay, and has a small museum type building, which gives lots of interesting facts and figures about the occupation of Crete during the war. A very moving place to visit. In short, Maleme is quieter than Platanais (and all the better for it if you ask me) but has just enough going on.
Maleme is very close to the beach and a bus ride to Chania where we took other buses to go to different places of interest. Overall, Crete has spectacular mountain views and the Greeks are very warm and kind hearted people. However, we did not like the smoking in restaurants. Also some of the bus drivers who smoked, used their mobile phones, texting while driving did not impress us.
The resort of Maleme is a quiet place - which is what a lot of people look for. There are some bars and restaurants on the sea front. It is on the bus route so you can easily get the bus to Chania. The bus fares are cheap (€2.60 to get to Chania) but the buses do get very crowded!
It's a small village, lasts until end of October as I've been told, sadly for the winter months becomes a fost city. After winter all comes to live again. Ppl are polite but I believe they've got their interest to attract you as a customer. We've chosen the right and some bad restaurants but then you know where to go next. I will go again to Olivia beach hotel and to eat again at The Wave and Menta, the best restaurants in Maleme over our option. Beach is not a sunday beach, apparently they had big storms and brought a lot of stones. But there are bed seats and umbrellas on the beach so it's not bad at all. You can get a bus or taxi to travel around too or perhaps rent a car if you are keen to drive on holiday. We had a good weather in the middle of September, 28, 4 days of 30 , so not bad at all.
Maleme
It was excellent! It is very silent place located near the beach. In September you have really chance to be along on the beach! The house surpass all expectations (cleanness, comfort, George’s welcome and his readiness to help in any time)! The price/quality ratio is very good. Really nice place for sating. If we will consider Crete for our following vocations this house certainly will be one of the pretender! George, hi from me and my family from Siberia!
Maleme
Great place to stay. The complex is small but very well arranged. Is has some great features like a barbecue with all necessaries tools for a great fish or meet grill. Very friendly managers, which provided all the necessary assistance. With car, it is a great anchor point to visit many beaches and gorges (keep in mind that roads on Crete are mountain roads hard to ride, with consequences on the travel durations). Very close to Chania.
Hotel is old, but the staff keeps it super clean. The food is tasty, varied, big plus for real ice coffee in the beach bar. Fantastic swimming pool area with water slides, great entertainment program for kids, nice water fitness for all. Hotel is located very close to the sea. Although its not the most beautiful beach on Crete, it offers great sunset and free beds (always).
If you are looking for a quiet holiday waking up to the sound of waves crashing, then this place is perfect. Maleme is one of the more quieter locations on the Chania-Kissamos axis. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. There are a few excellent tavernas and restaurant choices nearby. The beach is great for chilling, although not ideal for swimming.
The staff was very, very friendly and helpful to all our requests. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and could directly check in and also have lunch straight away. The service was also exceptional and the food was a variety of fresh traditional and international cuisine. We had an amazing time at the hotel, hope to come back soon. :)
Maleme
Our studio was super wonderful and it had air-condition with free Wi-Fi and views of the sea! Hotel offers a swimming pool and a very nice poolside bar with tasty and amazing cocktails. I feel safe and happy here and I would love to stay again next summer.
Both the service and facilities were amazing. Everybody was very nice and willing to proactively help and advice us all the time. One of the best hotels, we've ever experienced in Greece and also a great base for trips across western Crete.
Maleme
Huge outside space, large comfortable rooms. Kitchen had all appliances imaginable and large quantity of crockery and cooking implements. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Great location, walking distance away from beach.

The location of the hotel is great, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go even though we had a car. The hotel Manager is so kind and attentive, we had a great stay and highly recommend.

Amazing 2 villas with all fornitures and good services available. The host is kind and always available and the place is near to all the best beaches of Crete west side.
The staff were very helpful. We had amazing time there. Our waiter Vasilis gave us good advices what to do when in Crete. Thanks for the lovely staty.
The property and amenities, the fact that we had our own jacuzzi tub. Close to the beach and restaurants.
