Everything was absolutely perfect! All that you possibly may need is in the apartment, the view is really great and most importantly the host is amazing and very helpful. ❤️
A few good little restaurants by the beach. Maleme Taverna / beach bar has great food and the sun loungers are free if you eat there. Same with Mythos bar, also good food at the Wave. Friendly helpful staff in all restaurants. I would stay away from the bigger hotels for food if you want good local quality food.

Maleme is a lovely village on the coast.
Maleme is a lovely village on the coast. It has plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants. The food was excellent. It was just a bus ride to Chania, the nearest big place. It is easy to book visits to other places. It is not too commercialised.

Maleme is small town, but there is everything you might need. I cant rate night life because of small children, but for family vacation is great. In town are many restaurants, car rentals, pharmacy, medical center...You can make a lot of trips from there by car or bus or by little fun train. It is good point for trips to Chania, Botanical garden, Balos, Falasarna beach etc.

Restaurants on the beach are more expensive, on the main street is a Gyros Taverna, food is great, we ate there every 2nd day. Also on the main street you will find another great Taverna next to the Synka supermarket, along the road is the jewel of Malame, The Black Lantern Restaurant absolutely the best eatery in the area with a bar that would not be out of place in the UK. Run by a former Royal Navy Stoker who is a mine of information on the area.
Just want a coffee, look for the green sign, it's a locals place, overlooked by tourists, mores the pity, started evey day off there with 2 or 3 cappuccino,s.

Maleme is a quiet resort and is used more by adults than families. However, there is a large family resort hotel there too. There is not much in the way of night life (no clubs), Platanias, about 2 KM away has all the hustle and bustle and night life. Maleme is much more laid back, although it has plenty of bars and eating venues to choose from. Chania town is easily reached by bus. Ditto Kolimbari further along the coast. There is the little train service offering trips to various parts of Crete which are great fun to do.

Wonderful villas for our family of 16. Space for all of us, pool was wonderful. BBQ and recreational facilities , table tennis and bikes.
Could not wish for better facilities for a family holiday all together but space for everyone.
Hosts were so helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Restaurants and beach within walking distance and local bus to Chania was perfect.
Perfect hotel for our family break, grandma, daughter and baby. Friendly, easy going atmosphere and plenty of facilities for our differing age groups. Everywhere was well maintained and Covid precautions/policy very reassuring. Great location for a relaxing stroll with the pram along Maleme beach front.
The hotel is new, comfy beds, large terrace, the breakfast is very good, strong AC, the receptionist speaks English very good, also French, a very nice guy!( thank you for upgrading the room), enough parking places, access to the beach( which is not so great comparing to what Crete can provide)
Spacious apartament in the old house. Charming, with a view (a little bit) giving onto the sea. Kitchen well equipped with all the neccesities. The wasching machine came-in really handy. Located with a nice distance from hustle of those all-inclusive hotel of Maleme beach. A real retreat.
Aegean breeze is interesting and unique. Very clean, spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen. It is in a good location next to Maleme beach and close to very good restaurants.
The staff is very helpful and kind.
Unique experience and would visit again!
The room was clean and perfect for our family. The pool was very nice and kids liked to stay and relax
