I have a demanding job where people annoy me all day long. If you take a break from something like that, this is without a doubt a place to be. The owner and her son picked me up from the train station and brought me to the little house. The house has all the privacy, peace & serenity that one can hope for. It appears quite primitive but inside it has everything you need like a steady supply of hot water for showers, and a bottled tap for drinking. Also the owners went above and beyond to accommodate my special needs since I'm very interested in learning how to make the local arts myself. That also needs to be said. Koprivnica, and the neighbouring villages Hlebine and Durdevac are the birth places of Croatian naive art, so if you don't know that yet (you should because it's amazing), especially the oil on glass) and you like arts, this is an excellent place to start your journey. The usage of 2 bikes also are included and they are well maintained so you can explore the region without any problems. In another place I had a different experience with that in the negative sense.) I was there alone but especially for couples I would recommend because it makes a perfect love nest. Don't hesitate, just book. Almost forgot Koprivnica city is like 5km away but it has a very good restaurant very nearby.

Odličan, prostran i vrlo ugodan apartman na mirnoj lokaciji. Bilo nas je ukupno 6 u apartmanu i svi smo se mogli udobno i bez problema smjestiti - 4 kreveta u "glavnoj" spavaćoj sobi te službeno krevet za 1 osobu u drugoj spavaćoj sobi u kojem ustvari bez problema spavaju 2 osobe (120cm širine). Apartman je dovoljno velik da se ni u jednom trenutku nismo osjećali tijesno. Sva komunikacija s vlasnicom apartmana je bila ugodna te nas je dočekala i pokazala apartman, te nas čak ponudila odvesti do festivala na koji smo išli :). Preporuke svima koji traže apartman u Koprivnici.

The staff were really polite and helpful. I enjoyed my whole stay. Inside an outside of the hotel was always clean. Also, everything is new; the furniture and furnish of the hotel and as an engineer, I saw that high-good quality materialls are used everywhere. There are also very beautiful wall murals made of wood carvings which exhibits the history of the Kalnik Mountain and the region. The breakfasts were also really good. Everything was clean, prepared in an attentive way and tasted nice and good. The restaurant serving staff are also very polite and informative. They prepare and serve every order beautifully and try to please all request. I will and would comfortably recommend the Kalnik Hotel for everyone who thinks of going to Krizevci. The wi-fi and the room environment is also very suitable if you need to work during your stay. I would again stay in The Kalnik Hotel without any hesitation. 9,6/10 :) Please do convey my regards and gratitude to the hotel staff and management.
