Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Centrooms Park Eger offers accommodations in Eger, 328 feet from Egri Planetarium and Camera Obscura. It's been long since there was a properly working air conditioner, even in bigger Hotels - but this one delivered. The whole place has a newly built feeling, the staff is very friendly, and the room is pretty comfy. Although there is no escalator in the Hotel, reaching the room didn't take long, but keep this in mind if you need one for any reason. The location of the place is pretty great, right in the city center. To your left, street with restaurants, and to your right, the main square, with the castle just a few hundred meters away. If you are interested about relics of socialism, make sure to check the antiquity store, just a few steps to the right of the Hotel. I can't tell much about the breakfast since I chose to get my own this time, but if you like I did, there are pretty good options nearby: bakeries, vegan restaurant, even a SPAR if that's good for you. All in all I really enjoyed my stay, and now I regret a bit that I only stayed 2 days in Eger this time, because there is plenty to see, and room for activities.
Located in Eger, 2297 feet from Eger Castle, Erla Villa features accommodations with free WiFi. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Erla villa, this time bringing visiting relatives. They were as impressed with the hotel as we were, and one of them remarked that a similar hotel in the U.S. would cost three times as much. This is a top-notch hotel all the way, with elegant and flawless facilities, a great breakfast, and a fantastic pool area.
Offering free access to the thermal bath and the on-site swimming pools, hot tub and saunas, Imola Hotel Platán is located in the center of Eger. Excelent rooms, very clean and very comfy (the bathroom has heated floor!) The dinner was excelent, the breakfast also. The pools area are open until 8pm, this was a inconvenient as the dinner was served until 9pm. Even without the dinner they could at leas leave open until 10pm to have the time to enjoy the time there.
Located directly under the Castle of Eger in the historical town center, Imola Udvarház offers air-conditioned accommodations and a restaurant with Hungarian cuisine. Amazing location near the fortress
The Hotel Senator-Ház Eger can be found in a 18th-century town house, located on the historical Dobó Square, a few yards from the castle ramparts. The hotel is staffed by several generations of the same family, who are an absolute delight to interact with. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome at the hotel !

Hotel Aqua Eger is located in the center of Eger, only 820 ft from the Eger Thermal and Turkish Baths. Nicely sized room and comfortable bed, along with a short walk into the main square.
The newest hotel in Eger is located in one of the most famous tourist attractions of this town, in the so called Szépasszonyvölgy - the valley of the beautiful woman. Very friendly people, nice atmosphere, great massage, nice room, great brakfest
This property is 1 minute walk from the beach. Hunguest Hotel Flora is located in the center of Eger, opposite the formal Turkish Baths and the mineral springs. If you usually stay in fancy design or castle hotels, forget it about this place.

The hill-top Panoráma Hotel is located near the castle in the charming city of Eger, and offers you superb views over the town and an English-style garden. Beautiful quiet location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Roomy balcony.

Eger is just one of my favourite place in Hungary, because the town and the surrounding area has so many options to relax, to collect new adventures and experiences. In a few words: the castle, the restaurants BrumBrum and Macok, Camera Obscura, the trout from Szilvásvárad, the Bükk mountain, the narrow gauge railway of Szilvásvárad, the excellent wines such as Egri Csillag and Napbor, the wellness facilities in Egerszalók and Demjén.
Very cozy city. I'll come back because unfortunately you don't have the possibility to do and see everything in 2 days, as almost all attractions are only open in the morning. Definitely should extend it!
Enjoyed Hotel Senator. Close to 300 year-old building filled with Hungarian antiques. Located in the center of the old town. Parking nearby. Staff is warm and helpful. The fortress is interesting though a work in progress. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Worth the trip
Eger is a must to see town for each tourist. It's one of the most beautiful historical town in Hungary. The castle and the museums within brings you back to the 16th century when Hungary was occupied by the Turkish empire and Eger suffered a lot but stayed steady against the superiority of them. The story was written by Geza Gardonyi in the "Eclipse of the Crescent Moon" (Egri csillagok) available in English too. You can't really understand the town without this story. The writer's house is just behind the castle, worth for visiting. His grave can also be found in the castle, there is a cross with the note: "Only his body". The cathedral and the Bishop's Palace is also beautiful.
Eger is a beautiful town, old city with it's small markets and cafés is very pleasant. Pay attention, everything closes pretty early (for us), and when i say everything i mean virtualy EVERYTHING. I remember that around nine thirty in the evening we couldn't enter any restaurant, as they are closing at ten and their kitchens - around nine. We weren't aware of that beforehand, so we got stuck on streets feeling very hungry. The only choice for a hungry person on that hour is a McDonalds, and that is the reason it was quite full and there was a long line to the counter. So, dear fellow travelers, be aware :)
My friend and I spent two days in Eger at the end of October. I really enjoyed the view of the town from the castle, the Dobos square, our meal at Saz restaurant and the tour of the Archbishop's Palace. The "Town under the town" museum was closed to public at that time and so was the Baroque library. The locals speak very little English.

The rooms are very clean, good airconditioning, great comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, a small kitchen in the room and a welcoming owner. There is free public parking in front of the hotel. The hotel has a very nice back garden to relax and a nice roof balcony. The hotel is perfectly situated 2 minutes walk from Eger castle and 10 min from all the other attractions. We did not move the car since we checked in. My family slept like babies, so if light in the morning does not bother you, this is a fantastic stay in Eger.

Our stay in the hotel was ok. Room was clean and nice, breakfast was ok,there was wellness available, staff was able to solve our issue, BUT... we were expecting from the pictures pleasant stay in luxury wellness hotel, which wasn't actually the case.It was rather average, than outstanding. This made us a bit dissappointed. Hotel has potential to be outstanding, but some work on it is needed. Anyway ratio price quality is ok, also the location just in the Valley of beautiful women is perfect.

I LOVE this hotel! Gorgeous property with elegant finishes and well appointed suites. Very spacious with great views. The bedding is nicer than it looks in photos, hand embroidered and high quality (sheets are a little rough but that is everywhere in Hungary). Marble and luxuriously textured wallpaper. The walk in closet was humongous. The balcony off the room is nice, but it is NOT a private balcony. The mattress was very comfy.

A small fsmily hotel right in the center of the town. Has an ope air parking, a block away, excellent food, big and home made breakfast. The owners are very nice, helpful, they take care of everything. Old, but comfortable furniture, has a special atmosphere. The hotel is full of antique pieces and the collections of the owners. Love the place.

Location! Hills view and surrounding nature is buetiful. Quite, clean air. Chilly than in nearest town (Eger, 5-7 min to center). Pony is "working" at Sat, so at least my younger kid got a ride. Hotel kindly provided a fun/ventillator. Though at hot summer 32° it's expected as a min standard ( dont talk about air cond...).

The owners really nice, contacted us before by SMS, waited for us near the apartment, explained everything. The location is great, near the Eger castle, 2 minutes walking. There is private parking in the yard. The apartment is big enough, two bedrooms, living room, eating corner and kitchen. Kitchen is fully equipped.

If you usually stay in fancy design or castle hotels, forget it about this place. This is kind of retro 80s but original….However - I enjoyed my stay there very much. Thermal bath connected to the hotel are marvellous, huge and after renovation. For the small fee you can buy at the front desk entrance to the old Turkish spa building with radon spring water as well. Bathrobe you can rent it at the front desk for the small fee. All those charges could be post it in your hotel bill. Breakfast and dinner - I had half board incl. my rate - again forget about some fancy stuff and healthy corners from chain hotels. Here they serve original and traditional heavy Hungarian cuisine. But with very good taste and quite a big selection to choose from - both meals were buffet style and I really enjoyed it. My room was kind of partly modernized - the bathroom etc. Yes if I would run with my camera around with zoom I can point it some scratches here and there and that the bathroom shower door even quite new - leaked little bit etc. On the other hand it was nicely warm and relatively clean. For that money I paid for incl. hald board and baths access I would call my experience worth it. Guests are mostly age 50plus or families with children - at least from what I saw during my. Old Town is few minutes walking distance. Eger is beautiful town actually. I manage to talk with staff members in my broken Hungarian, but some English or German or even both everyone spoke somehow as well. Recommendable to bring some slippers for passing from the hotel to the Baths area.

We had a very large room. The wellness facility was a good option to relax after work. I could have also a good massage for a nice price. One of our favorite restaurants in Hungary is only 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The price value ratio is excellent. The parking lots were easy accessable. The location is perfect. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for food, the hotel offers the possibility to have an all inclusive dinner for 9 euro. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to stay in Eger.
