Fresh air, rice terraces, Balinese people are very friendly and courteous. Nature, vegatation, forest.. waterfalls and temples. My husband and I stayed at Aksari Ubud Resort & Spa … this place is my personal version of paradise. Staff were very cordial… they aim to please … the resort has great amenities and awesome infinity pools. The entire place has wifi, room has smart TV with Netflix, the resort is clean and very well maintained and smells like aromatherapy (spa) with “zen” music..,

Its got some lovely attractions and sights. Its peaceful and quiet without being too remote. Spending time amongst the people here gives you a sense of what life in Bali is really like and not just what they put on for tourists.

Last time I came to Bali, I only stayed in Ubud. Tegalalang is only a short trip away, but it is so peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Waterfalls, rice paddies, jungle, friendly locals and you really can experience Bali here. I have never felt more grateful, free and alive. Make sure to rent a moped to get the most out of it!

Far away enough from the city centre to be tranquil and relaxed with plenty of local activities such as the rice terrace and swings, close proximity to temples, waterfalls and volcano without the hustle and bustle of the centre.

Beautiful scenery, friendly village lifestyle, great food and 5 star villa with your own private pool. This villa is so close to Ubud, yet far enough away to get out of the busy tourist zone. Being so central, you can access everything Bali has to offer and then return to the comfort, peace and tranquillity of Jason Village. The manager and his family were outstanding, offering honest helpful advice and recommendations . This villa provides complete privacy and also opportunities if you enjoy engaging with the local community. We have travelled in Bali three times previously and would rate this beautiful villa within Jasan Village and all it has to offer as nothing short of outstanding. Can’t recommend this villa enough! Very well priced, away from the tourist traps but so easy to access if you want. It offers a traditional balinese experience with 5 star accomodation.

From the moment I entered the resort, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity. The architecture, with its traditional Balinese elements, seamlessly merges with the landscape, making every corner of Cicada a visual delight. The staff at Cicada sets a benchmark for excellence in hospitality. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist made me feel not just like a guest but like a cherished friend. The personalized attention to detail, from the warm welcome to the fond farewell, showcased a level of service that goes beyond expectations.

The true homestay experience in Bali! This is the only accommodation where we really had the opportunity to see locals' life from inside, interact with the family and participate in religious ceremonies. You are surrounded by farm animals, next to a rice field, with Balinese breakfast, and staying inside a family temple. The family is lovely and gave a lot of attention to our 1 year old boy. Kenderan is a little village with hardly any tourists, it's central from many attractions north of Ubud, and the locals are extremely welcoming

The view was one of the best I've seen in Bali!! The hotel and rooms overlook beautiful green rice terraces. The infinity pool is also great. The rooms have a multimedia system and Netflix which make for a great movie night as well. The location is quite remote and there are hardly any eateries nearby, but that is what makes the place even more serene. Lenon at the hotel was a great host and was very helpful and helped arrange a tour of the nearby Aloha swing, the rice terraces and coffee plantation.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Cicada Ubud, where every detail was impeccably curated for an unforgettable experience. Jefry's warm hospitality stood out, ensuring I felt valued from the moment I arrived. The resort's lush surroundings, well-appointed rooms, and eco-friendly practices showcased a commitment to excellence. The culinary offerings were a delight, reflecting both creativity and culinary skill. I wholeheartedly recommend Cicada Ubud for a luxurious and rejuvenating getaway.

This resort exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location was peaceful with beautiful views over the valley and rice fields (some people might find the location a bit remote if they're planning to go out a lot, but if you want a relaxing stay it is perfect). The pool was lovely and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Scooters are available for rent, so you can easily visit Mount Batur or Central Ubud.

The best hotel in Bali during our trip ! Clean and Spacious room with a wonderful view on the jungle and the rice fields. 10 steps down and we were swimming in a nice pool with the same view. In addition of that, delicious breakfast served on the room terrace just in front of the rice fields. But above all, what I will remember first is the incredible kindness of the owner and his personal, always there to help you. Don’t miss this wonderful place.

This was the BEST hotel from our Bali trip. The best. Staff - wonderful, everyone smiling and so lovely all the time. Great restaurant. A traditional Bali dance and culture performance in one of the evenings. Yoga by the river coast near the hotel. And everyone sooooo warm and welcoming. Despite the fact that bed squeaked even when you sit down and bed springs should be replaced, that didn’t change our mind that this tiny hotel is wonderful!!!!

I loved everything about this stay. The staff were very attentive and caring. They made my stay very comfortable. Booking the massages was very easy. They have multiple activities you can do inside and outside the hotel. The villas are very private and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The scenery was so beautiful and calm.

The host and her husband are amazing. So friendly and accommodating but also very nice to talk to. She explained a lot about Balinese culture and sat down for a talk during breakfast. I booked the cooking class, very fun and I would totally recommend! The view a the pool over the rice terrace is just out of this world.

Wonderful and tranquil villa looking over the neighboring rice field, just as the photo shows. Run by a local family living just across the street if I remember correctly. It is a bit in a remote side but that's exactly what you want when in Ubud.
