Rolfs Country House features a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Baltimore. There's a terrace and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking. Rolfs is a very special haven tucked into a magical location above the tiny town of Baltimore, Cork. The owners and staff (they are all family and have been there for over 40 years) were warm and welcoming, always offering a special treat, a smile and exceptional service. My sunny room was immaculate with great bedding and a hot and spotless super modern bathroom. The complementary breakfast was incredibly generous, starting with a continental breakfast tower with home made pastries, breads and jam, fruit salad, yogurt and fresh cheese and then moving on to a full Irish breakfast with melt in your mouth eggs and exceptional smoked salmon. There are several choices and everything is served with creative touches, herbs, edible flowers, etc. The 4.5 acres of grounds and gardens are tended by the mom of the family, who lovingly knows the details of each blossom and bush. You can tell that owning this hotel and hosting international travelers is a passion for this family....I feel lucky to have spent two nights there, and the weather was exceptional. I did not have dinner there, although it looked amazing, but I did have local oysters and Creamant one night. Unbelievably good! Cannot recommend Rolfs highly enough. The location and staff are just.....amazing!
Overlooking Baltimore Harbor with fantastic sea and island views, The Waterfront Hotel offers seafood, a bar with regular traditional music sessions, and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Extremely friendly staff and very efficient. Brilliant location in the heart of Baltimore Harbour. highly recommend it 👍
On Ireland's South West Coast, Rathmore House Bed and Breakfast is on the outskirts of Baltimore Village, overlooking Baltimore harbor and the islands. This modern built Georgian style house offers... Clean, quiet, and comfortable B&B just a few minutes from Baltimore. Marguerite is very kind and helpful, and she is an excellent cook.
The Stone House B&B is located in the coastal village of Baltimore on the Wild Atlantic Way. Skibbereen is 7.5 mi away. Rianne is a super lovely person and made our stay exceptionally and unforgettably amazing. Her personality is just what you would hope for in a B&B, super friendly. Her cooking is just out of this world. She left cakes in our room every day, all handmade by her, different cakes every day. And she gave us very good advice regarding places to visit or to eat. When we go back to that corner of this Celtic heaven called Ireland we will definitely stay at her B&B.
Located deep in the heart of West Cork, Killeena House provides you with the perfect accommodations from which to explore the region, and sections of the Wild Atlantic Way. We loved the beautiful, peaceful setting, really handy for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was cosy, bedrooms were super comfy and the bedding was extra lovely. We loved the private outside seating area of our cottage.
Cedar boathouse is nestled in the countryside of West Cork and is surrounded by walkways and islands. The house feature sea and mountain views and free WiFi is available throughout. The hosts were so lovely, the views are a slice of heaven! Will definitely return

The harbour area was lovely above the harbour was hotels & bars where you could sit & enjoy all the comings & goings. Lively night life. great walks around the area. The Beacon is a must to walk too. We went on the Fastnet tour from the harbour a definite recommend. We ate at the Algiers Inn Gastropub a definite treat, great food & great staff, you cannot book a table only down side but worth the wait. It is a hilly area just to be aware.
It's a lovely quiet village by the sea. Late February might not be the best time to go see it, but we got really lucky with the weather. Cute craft shops and cafes/restaurants were available (and open even on a Sunday morning)
Baltimore is a gem in the off-season. If you have a car, it is a great base from which to cover West Cork from Castletownshend to Mizen Head. Local country lanes are narrow and many ( the best ones ! ) have grass in the middle - but they are immensely rewarding to explore via car or bike. Great walks too - everywhere! Regular ferries to Cape Clear and Sherkin Islands, all year round. I stayed just one night but could easily have stayed a couple of days. A large scale map is useful, even with Google. Mobile phone signal can be patchy in remote areas.West Cork tourism is highly seasonal - if there is a particular attraction you want to visit, contact them first. Favourite spots? Toe Head, Castlehaven, Baltimore Beacon, any island, Lough Hyne.
I loved Baltimore! There are good choices for eating and drinking, the atmosphere is relaxed and the location is stunning. We enjoyed local walks, trips to Sherkin and Cape Clear and swimming. It is a great spot for water-based activities. Highlights were swimming on Trabawn on Sherkin and in the cove on the way to the Beacon, crab sandwiches and local beer outside Bushes in the sunshine and walking on Cape Clear and around Lough Hyne.
Baltimore is a beautiful Harbour with access to the islands and Lough hyne . Walk from the Harbour to the beacon for magnificent views. At Lough hyne climb to knockomagh summit for stunning view over Baltimore and as far as toe head. Try a whale watching trip and stop at cape Clare.
Definitely the dolphin and whale tour with nic is a must do him and the team are great. The harbour area is great and there are ferries to the islands. To dine we dined in the ones just off the dock on the terraces was lucky with the weather. It is very bad for parking you need to get there earlier to avoid disappointment. All in all can say I'll be returning
Lovely house in close proximity to the centre of Baltimore. Rhianne thought of everything! She helped with transport from the airport, the breakfast was superb with so much choice (and the bread and jam were both home made!), there was home made cake and tea making facilities in the room, my Mum is a little unsteady on her feet so Rhianne opened a different way in for her to make it easier - lots of little things that added up to a wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Stone House to anyone visiting Baltimore!
Idyllic location - so peaceful and tranquil. Beautiful grounds to explore and really close to Baltimore and Skibbereen. The owners were great, there if we needed them but also left us to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful location. Everything one could need for self catering was provided, all utensils etc. even really useful things like a clothes horse! This was a real plus when travelling with a small child.
Everything was perfect - from localisation to the hotel itself. Hotel staff was super nice, proffesional and well informed about local restaurants and attractions. The hotel has lovley patio where you can enjoy a drink. The place is very clean and quiet. Bathrooms are great: spotless, high water pressure. Breakfast was delicious and diverse. This place is really high standard, definietly worth its price. We loved it.
The view of Baltimore harbor is stunning. We slept so well and enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. Thank you Marguerite for your lovely hospitality. We felt so welcomed and hope to return.
Extremely friendly staff and very efficient. Brilliant location in the heart of Baltimore Harbour. highly recommend it 👍
