A charming, family-run B&B on the slopes of the McGillycuddy’s Reeks mountain range, Kingdom View offers free Wi-Fi, rooms with countryside views and a TV lounge with a fireplace. In the middle of countryside, so peaceful and quiet, in short driving range to all the best Kerry has to offer, with spectacular views and last but not least amazing and very helpful hosts
Ard Na Glen, Beaufort in Beaufort has accommodations with free WiFi, 5 miles from Gap of Dunloe. Located 5 miles from Kate Kearney's Cottage, the property provides a garden and free private parking. Friendly inviting hosts. Location with great views. Private. Very clean and well equipped bungalow a real home from home. Sheep in field outside the door. About 10 mins outside Killarney so need a car to travel in and out. All local attractions and scenery on the doorstep.
A family-run bed and breakfast in a quiet location, Inveraray has wonderful views of the Gap of Dunloe, MacGillycuddy's Reeks and the mountains of Killarney. It also offers free WiFi. The natural surroundings are beautiful. The staff and owners were very friendly and breakfast was great
Just 0.3 miles from the famous Gap of Dunloe mountain pass, The Ferris Wheel B&B can arrange scenic tours of the Gap by traditional horse-drawn carriage. As someone who was interested in the nature aspect of this portion of our tour, I loved the location! The owner was very sweet and accomodated special requests for homemade breakfasts. The shower situation is a bit odd, but functional.
Located in Killarney and only 6 miles from St. Mary's Cathedral, Inisfail provides accommodations with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. The whole atmosphere was wonderful great location- make sure you say hi to the doggies! Very private as well.
An absolute must while staying in or passing through Beaufort, is a meal at The Beaufort Bar Restaurant. The staff are friendly and accomodating, the atmosphere perfect and the food is divine. Especially recommend the hake dinner with gratin potatoes. The fish is an inch thick and pan-fried to perfection.
Has Beaufort Restaurant and In-Between Bar and Restaurant. Those two alone make it worthwhile. Very near (the touristy) Kate Kearney’s Cottage, Gap of Dunloe. 15 minutes to either Killarney or Cronin’s Yard to hike Carrauntoohil.
Loved staying at the Beaufort House and Courtyard Cottages. The self-catering 2-bedroom townhouse was perfect with a fully stocked kitchen and warming fireplace. Complete access to wi-fi, cable and laundry make it ideal for longer stays. Beautiful walks in the countryside and along the river are just outside the door and pubs are nearby as well. We were especially delighted to see Sika deer playing on the lawn at dusk and to see the MacGillycuddy Reeks in the distance.
I went to work for the weekend but then, unexexpectedly discovered myself in the heart of Ireland's most iconic location, that is the Gap of Dunloe and at the entrance to the Black Valley. King Puck the Goat's kingdom of Killorgan was just a few kms one way and Killarney's lake's and Fells were a few kms in the opposite direction. Now I know what people mean when they say "it was awesome! Beaufort is truly the gateway to some awesome places!
Nice town by the Gap of Dunloe. We hiked the Gap. Ate at the restaurant story - Beaufort, a heather & Kate Kearney's Cottage. It was cheaper than Killarney, but just as awesome! If you want a calmer atmosphere with great scenery and people come to Beaufort.

The cottage was perfect for our New Year retreat. We spent 3 wonderful nights at Beaufort House, it was comfortable and cosy with everything you could wish for a relaxing break away. The hosts were lovely and left breakfast items, plenty of wood for the fire and a lovely bottle of wine. Our 2 Chihuahua’s loved their comfortable stay too. We would recommend a trip to the local pub next door, the food there was lovely and they were accommodating for our 2 children. Many Thanks, we shall return 😃 The Jewkes’

Fabulous view from the breakfast room, even better from the garden. Short walk to Beaufort Restaurant, a longer walk or short drive to the In-Between Bar and Restaurant. Plan on playing with their playful Corgi Louie! If you arrive late and the parking lot in front is full, they’ll let you park in the grassy field next to and to the left of the house. Don’t forget to close the gate or their cows may make a break for freedom!

We liked the welcome from Tim and Nora and were most helpful about any local information. They are such a lovely friendly couple and we enjoyed our stay there. So homely and near to the wedding venue in Hotel Europe.
