So much to do if you enjoy active holidays but also a lovely spot to chill out in just the same. Great buzz for party atmosphere and also suitable for nice meals and a few drinks if that's what you prefer. The locals were so friendly and really made our stay enjoyable. Beautiful scenic area between Dublin and Belfast. Lots to do hiking, water sports, plenty of heritage and history. Great restaurants and cafes with varied menus including Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten free options. Carlingford is a charming medieval village directly across a bay from Northern Ireland. It's just over an hour from both Dublin and Belfast and makes a nice stop on the way to or from both cities.
