The location, decor, room size (we were given an incredible upgrade to a suite) and food & beverage was exceptional. if this wasn’t already enough to knock our socks off, the staff we encountered were the icing on the cake. A special shout out to Pat (dining room) and Maura (front desk) who went out of their way to ensure we had the information and opportunities to make our stay so exceptional as we started our hike of the Dingle Way. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. Karen & Tom

These hotels in Tralee are highly rated by couples: Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa, Ballyseede Castle, and Manor West Hotel & Leisure Club.
Ballyseede Castle, Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa, and The Rose Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Tralee.
I enjoyed the friendliness of the people, the Museum of Kerry, the Central Park and of course the live music and Guinness in some of the old bars. Public transport didn’t seem that good though and I decided to take a taxi to the airport which was about 30 Euros with a tip which I thought reasonable for the distance.
We stayed in Tralee for football, we only planned one night and would have loved to have stayed for two nights as its a long drive for only one night. The accommodation was perfect, the host was a genuine lovely lovely lady. The accommodation was close to all amenities which was perfect for us. It was excellent value for money as breakfast was included. Free wifi. There isn't much in Tralee to do to be honest but it suited us for what we went for. The shops are good if you're interested in shopping and there are some fabulous restaurants to choose from and also some lovely quaint coffee shops along the shop street which we tried out. All in all my experience was excellent and as I have stayed in Tralee before it met all the usual expectations of our trip and i most definitely will go back (for football) but for sightseeing I think Killarney is the place to go or Dingle. But . . for us Tralee was 100%,
Tralee town is very central especially for a bit of retail therapy as there is a shopping centre located off the main square. Tralee is a good base to allow you to Tralee down to Dingle and Slea Head and all its scenery and beaches,
We were at a wedding at another hotel and did not have much time at the Ashe hotel but did not get up for breakfast which finished at 10.30 am but were offered it at 11.15am, a lovely gesture. We had 3 rooms booked. Hotel was spotlessly clean and great shower. I would definetly recommend it.
Museum & Exhibition well presented, informative, easy to assimilate; within a mature Townpark. Principle asset is proximity by car to Dingle Peninsula, especially across the narrow stretch of road on north side of Connor Pass (avoid at peak tourist times if your vehicle width >1.8m lest you encounter another of similar width with a string of traffic behind each vehicle!). Picturesque views of Blasket Islands, the story of their evacuation in 1953, and memorabilia in the Blasket Islands Centre at Dunquin; coastal views of Slea Head, Brandon Mountain, and the intriguing undulating headland profile to the west of the latter; Fahan and its numerous prehistoric forts and beehive huts. To the north of Tralee, Ardfert Cathedral is open all hours it seems, only the exhibition open hours being limited; beyond it Banna Strand. We ate takeaways and purchased food, but there seem to be many restaurants and bars in Tralee.
Tralee is a great base for visiting Dingle and the ring of Kerry. To my mind it is a much better base for the area than Killarney which is a tourist trap of the worst kind and one I would avoid at all costs. Tralee offers as good access to the local area and has a good range of local amenities of tourists
Tralee
The pictures do not the hotel justice. Room and general upkeep of place to a very high standard and the beds were so comfy. Bathroom is basic but shower was reliable and water pressure and temperature was great. Didn’t try the breakfast but smelt great. Michael was lovely too. The location was amazing, right in the centre of Tralee with lots of excursion opportunities nearby.
We had a wonderful experience at the Ashe Hotel in Tralee. Every staff member we encountered went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean with old-time charm and very comfortable. The food in the hotel's restaurant was fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Tralee. See you again!
Staff were brilliant especially Joe in the bar so friendly and chatty and Maura who waited on us for dinner and again for breakfast a true asset to the hotel this is what people look for on a staycation food was great location fab well done Ballyroe heights hotel tralee we will be back
Fairly central location to city center. Easy walk to local dining options. Older hotel. Was clean and quiet. Did not seem that there were many guests given the hotel's size. Was fine for an overnight stay.

It was around the corner from my cousins. But for those without such cousins, it is a beautiful spot on Tralee Bay, away from the hustle and bustle of Tralee.
