T10 Hotel Iceland is set in Hafnarfjördur, 5 mi from Reykjavík and 19 mi from Keflavík. Guests are offered free WiFi, parking and breakfast. There is a public bus station only 656 feet away. This place is scrupliously clean and appears to have been recently renovated. The mother of the owner was just lovely and was very proud of her hotel. There is a large shared kitchen which meant we could easily prepare our breakfast on the day of our early departure. I can't comment on the included breakfast as we had to leave too early for that. The original art works were an interesting touch. The location on the airport side of town was an advantage for us.
Hótel Vellir is located on the outskirts of the capital city and only 24 mi from the airport. Near to mountains, lakes and possible views of the Nordic Lights, this hotel features a bar and free WiFi.... Very friendly!!! Great breakfast!!!
Located just 15 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik in the town of Hafnarfjordur, this hotel offers bright guest rooms that are soundproofed. There is also a lounge and bar area on site. The room was great for the price. It had a small kitchenette and the size was ample for 2 people. The location is approximately 10 minutes from the city but with a rented car getting to and from there was easy. Also free parking and WiFi!
This Viking-themed hotel is housed in the same building as the West Nordic Culture House, in the seaside town of Hafnarfjordur. Parking, WiFi and access to a sauna and hot tub are all free. The staff was very friendly and were very willing to answer all questions that we had :)
Our home in Hafnarfjörður offers accommodations in Álftanes. All rooms include a shared bathroom with a bath and bidet, with bathrobes provided. Extras include slippers and free toiletries. The only reason not to rate this property a perfect 10 would be a failure to read its description first. You get a very competitive rate for (very expensive) Iceland here, and it was one of the most carefully thought out properties in which I’ve ever stayed. Rarely do I struggle to find a single thing that could be better. For me, it is usually, “Why didn’t they install a hook near the sink/door to hold my stuff?” In this comfortable room, there was a convenient place to put everything I needed to access: coat hook by the door, luggage stand near the wardrobe, loads of empty space to hang/fold inside the wardrobe, wide windowsill, counter space by the sink... All in all, a super convenient room in which to stay. Beds were narrow twins, but that was clearly stated in the description. Staying with my son, they were great. Comfort of the mattresses and bedding was very good. I appreciated having a thick duvet and a thinner blanket, unlike some other stays I’ve made in Northern Europe. Both of us had plenty of space to stow and charge devices next to our beds. This is a room with a shared bath, so no fair dinging the rating for that reality. That’s why the price is lower than local hotels! Because it is just a pair of rooms sharing the bath, it wasn’t highly problematic, but something to decide for yourself. Save money for a slight wait to use the bath, or spend more for an en suite? The bathroom here was large, airy, well lit, very clean, and exceptionally well appointed with products and consumables. The small lounge for guests was something I missed in the description. It was ideal for my son and me as we often do takeaway food for dinner, but I hate to eat on my bed. There was a lovely setup with tea and coffee things, a fairly large fridge for exclusive guest use, a pair of bistro tables, and a small loveseat.
Linnetsstígur 1 #B offers accommodations in Hafnarfjörður, 19 miles from Drottningin and 19 miles from Amma Dreki. It is located 19 miles from Amma mús and has free WiFi plus luggage storage space. The location was good for covering Western Iceland and south coast. Being an apartment it was a home away from home. Don’t miss the hotdog stand across the street.
This large, modern property offers views over Skerjafjördur Fjord towards Reykjavík city, which is 5 mi away. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen and free Wi-Fi. Nice clean and convenient for the airport. Lovely neighbourhood. Warm and plenty of hot water. Nice decor.

We chose this Viking Hotel because it looked like it would be historically interesting considering Iceland was founded by Vikings. The hotel contributed to the effect. It needs a little TLC but it is cute, interesting and somewhat traditional, Give it a try - we had fun and the Granddaughters enjoyed it. Hospitality was wonderful. We were supposed to arrive at 1:00 AM but we had flight complications and arrived instead at 5:00 AM. Since we were exhausted, we checked in and went to our room. We slept very well and awoke at 10 AM and went to breakfast. Well, breakfast ended at 10:00 AM and we missed it, but the staff knew of our situation and offered us a custom breakfast, for which we were most amazed and most thankful. It's easy to find and convenient and very hospitable.
Quaint area by the harbor. Everything you’d want or need is here for a two day stay! I got a beer at a restaurant one night, fish n chips at a casual hotdog stand, walked along the harbor, and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Brikk bakery. People were nice. Bus stop nearby that took me to the airport.
Hafnarfjöđur is a pretty harbor. Many of the restaurants don t open until 4 or 5pm, with limited entertainment. Quiet suburban town away from the the tourism of Reykjavik. Hellisgerđi park is neat.
I really like the harbor and coastline walk. I ate at the Viking Restaurant and we enjoyed the menu items 2 different nights. We walked to most places in Hafnarfjordur and really enjoyed checking out the town homes and scenery
The owner was great! Although we arrived 20 minutes after the kitchen closed for the night, he made sure we were fed well. The food was amazing and definitely homemade. Additionally, it was great hearing of his childhood as a third generation sheep farmer on the site. He gave us his personal favorite icelandic hidden gems to visit.
The town is roughly a 25 min. ride from Reykjavik, but is so much quieter and there is less traffic and less litter. The town is built on a lava-flow and you can see the flow throughout the town. It is an easy walking area, especially at the main shopping area and harbor.

This is a self check-in guesthouse which makes it easy wenn you arrive late from Keflavík or have to leave early to Keflavík. It is close to Reykjavík (15 min drive) were you can park you (rental car) for free next to the church. Next to the guesthouse are a lot of supermarkets were you can shop for your Iceland roundtrip. The rooms are spacious enough and very clean, nice to have a small sink in the bedroom. Nice (self catering) breakfast with a kitchen were you can also make your own dinner / coffee and tea.

We love being in Iceland! This property is well located, almost between the airport and Reykjavik. Maria, our host, lives upstairs and she greeted us when we arrived. She was incredibly nice and helpful when it came to instructions on the property and the grocery store location. The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable. We all slept great in our extremely comfortable beds.

The guesthouse exudes a warm and cozy family feel. It is a home away from home...only more beautiful. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped. Bathroom is very nice and spotlessly clean. Daniela was a great host and shared a lot of Icelandic knowledge with us. Lovely breakfast spread. Overall a great stay and definitely recommended.

The hostel is very nice and super clean. The kitchen is very specious and well stocked. Tony is very helpful and guided us for tour bookings and buses. The hostel is situated in hafnarfjordur, which is 20 mins from main Reykjavik city. Bus no. 1 will be your best friend for going to city.

Good value, it had a mini fridge and a community kitchen. The location is near a bonus and kronan grocery store so you can shop and cook your own meals Eating out in Iceland is very expensive. Not much else around the hotel, so you will need a vehicle for transportation.

This was our first night in Iceland, the outside didn’t look promising but the room and shared kitchen were lovely! The instructions to let get in were simple as there are not staff there all the time. And the breakfast fridge was well stocked.

Great place near the city, yet secluded in a protected area. Very comfortable for a family of 4 and 10 minutes away from the Viking restaurant. 35 minutes to The Blue Lagoon, but it’s in the middle of nowhere.

Nice room for a family of 5 with enough space. Hotel was good, but made to serve large groups of tourists coming by bus, don't expect a local, "icelandic" experience

The hotel is in a good location close to Reykjavík. It also has a hot tub. The breakfast buffet is very good.
