Very central if you do the Golden Circle one day and Sneafellsness peninsula the next day. We did the Golden Circle, stayed here and did Snaefellsness the next day, and returned to stay another night before starting the Ringroad anticlocks. Very clean. Very charming public kitchen no2. with round design. Also, beautiful glass restaurant overlooking troll falls. Saw Aurora borealis.

Located next to Lake Blundsvatn, this guest house is 15 minutes’ drive off Iceland’s Ring Road.

My favorite place on the Ring Road! A cute little cottage with 2 separate bedrooms, a small kitchenette and nice bathroom. The bedroom was dark, and the bed comfortable. There were walking trails out the door, with games and signs about trolls and fairy tales. The grounds had a separate area for the camping huts and lodges, hot tubs, and cooking areas for campers. The restaurant was wonderful, with tables overlooking a falls. There is a ginormous record collection and you could request a favorite.

Hotel Stafholt has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Varmaland. At the hotel, the rooms come with a closet.

The hotel is new (I think it opened somewhere in 2022), so everything inside it is new. Facilities are okay. Beds are comfy, and the room is of comfortable size. We had extra chairs, kettle, tea, coffee & coffee maker, cups, and glasses. Also, it had a small fridge. The bathroom had a hairdryer and body gel, conditioner, shampoo, and hand soap.

This design hotel is located by the Whale Fjord, 30 miles from central Reykjavík. It offers free Wi-Fi, outdoor hot tubs with fjord views and rooms with flat-screen TVs.

Location up on a hill overlooking king fiord and distantly the ocean. Both dinner and breakfast were great. Hot tubs (2) were perfect temperature.

Fosshotel Reykholt is only a few minutes’ drive from the hot springs of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. It offers free parking and WiFi.
