Though this hotel is not right in the city center (with around 15 mins walking distance), we had a super nice stay with Hotel Columbia. The room is with a balcony to enjoy the view and it is totally clean and comfortable. Not only because of their location but also for the food quality, we would highly recommend you order the breakfast there. They offer a great variety of options for breakfast and all the members are really friendly. *For dinner option: they do not offer dinner there, but the person who takes charge at the reception would help you call for pizza delivery or you could ask for some hot water for your instant noodle.

There were so many day trips to various hikes and natural wonders within driving distance of Cortina d' Amprezzo. We could have spent many more days in this area to explore. Getting around is fairly easy (good signage) but it was pretty crowned in August! We mostly ate at our hotel since we had little kids with us but we made the trip into town every day for Gelato!!!
Cortina d'Ampezzo is a great town to visit the dolomites. There are a number of beautiful lakes that can be reached either by road or by great hikes through the woods. There are multiple cable car stations which take you to different peaks. We visited in the summer and there was lots to do. I would highly recommend renting a car to get around.
Amazing location with a view. The hotel is located centrally towards multiple hiking routes. Not many restaurants close by but if you have a car you can drive to nearby areas for food and recreation apart from the Hotel food. I would definitely recommend to stay again.
It is sooo beautiful! We went pre start of summer so limited restaurants that I thought rated and weren’t over priced. Also tourist info not opened on Wednesday which was time sensitive for us. Maps terrible. Hard to get information. But found our way and did walks and local bus trips in the area. Loved it!
Incredible scenery, the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen in Europe, North America and even New Zealand. The skiing was great too, not too crowded and an immense number of runs in the SuperSki areas, in five days we probably skied 5% of what was out there. My new favorite ski area and look forward to coming back in all four seasons.
Amazing place to ski once you know where to go. If you take a day off like we did towards the star of your visit you can explore the area which is just stunning and then find better places to ski other than where the guides and hotel staff say to go which are too crowded. I strongly recommend you need a car as local busses looked rammed and with a car you can unlock the beauty of this place. Food is well priced compared to the French Alps and my goodness its top notch from a small local bar with 8 tables to the big places serving 100's its all 5 star quality. I now plan to return and Cycle in spring or Autumn as well its that good.
