The service and dining were spectacular! A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. The pool service was awesome with such an incredibly attentive and lovely staff - even though everyone was working in 110-degree heat. I've stayed in other spots in Positano, and nothing compares to the quiet serenity and view of this place. There are a lot of stairs, but you're in Positano and the entire city is on an incline, so no matter where you go, there will be stairs... just be aware of that. The shuttle service comes back and forth every hour, which is fine if you can keep to a timeline during vacay, but they will also order you a cab if you'd like for 25 euro to bring you anywhere in the town.

It is a fantastic town - very small so can seem very busy but totally worth the stay - way more steps than I had expected but if I had thought about it it is a town built on a cliff side - wouldn’t recommend for elderly people who have difficulty walking. As one waiter summed it up: “In Positano we have no belly but our knees are broken”!
One of the beautiful places I have ever been, I couldn't recommend it enough! The views are amazing but also loved all the little streets leading down to the beach. Our favourite restaurant was Bruno, which surprisingly was one of the most reasonably priced but had the best views! The easiest way to get here is definitely taxi, we ended up getting a bus from Naples airport to Naples train station, followed by a train to Sorrento and then a bus to Positano! This took about 3 hours but only cost around 15 euros each. One thing I will say is that Positano is extremely expensive - probably the most expensive place I have ever visited in Europe! I was charged 5 euros for a bottle of diet coke and 25 euros per person to hire a sunbed on the beach.
We stayed down at the beach, which I consider was the best way to go. Positano is a bit more expensive than the other surrounding towns. We took out scooters to go to the neighboring towns which we consider it’s a must. Loved the experience, the views and the stay
A picture postcard-perfect sea port, ideal for excursions by boat to Capri and Amalfi. Must love stairs! If you collect sea glass, take a bag and plenty of time to explore the local beaches. The water is glorious for swimming. There was a choice of many excellent restaurants with superb ocean views, especially Pupetto--should have a Michelin star--and Saracen d'Oro--top service and menu. If you have good balance, are not afraid of heights, enjoy two to three-hour walks, and can scramble down rocky sections of mountain trails, the Path of the Gods is an ideal outing for spectacular views. One recommendation is to carefully plan transportation. Bus trips are challenging for travelers who are prone to motion sickness. Train, boat, and taxi travel may be better options.
Out of season visit. Weather unpredictable. Storms / rough seas meant our excursions to capri / Amalfi cancelled. Sea was cold but as expected, still a lovely visit but trickier to organise transport as many ferries don’t run out of season & reliable transfer back to flight in Naples can be upwards of€150 in a taxi. Buses not always reliable/ on time. Apparently very southern Italy so don’t rely on those for airport transfer
A place with fantastic views. Be ready for endless stairs, but it is good if you want to do some sport:) Positano is placed in the hill where the height difference between the sea level and your stay could be significant. But don't worry, there are a lot of rest places in between, bars, restaurants are all over the place. Food is excellent, staff friendly, so no problems at all. If you are more sporty type, you can do some nice trials around Positano (Nocelle, Il Sentiero Degli Dei - Path of the Gods). You can take a bus to Nocelle and start there, for more though ones, you can start from Positano but be ready for some 1700 steps! So, just enjoy it. The view is fantastic!
Positano
Wow! Where to start…This hotel was completely amazing! Everything was perfect. The room, the staff, the cleaning, the Terrace, the view and not to talk about the delicious breakfast served on the balcony every morning. The coffee was just the best! Alcione Residence completely topped every expectation we had and it made our visit in Positano the very best! The staff here is lovely. So very helpful and caring in every way and I leave this place feeling loved and well taken care of. Thank you SO much for everything! 10/10! ♥️
Positano
Everything was wonderful about this property. Victorio and Cristiana are very friendly and helpful. They went beyond themselves to make our stay and experience in Positano unforgettable. The location is perfect , right at the square of Positano and everything is few meters away. The room was super clean and housekeeping comes everyday to clean it and change towels. There’s a little kitchenette and complementary coffee/tea. I loved the design of the room and the bright colors that flow with the hotel and the city theme!
We loved this hotel. It was our third time to Positano. This hotel was our favourite. Paola, Giuseppe and Luigi we’re all so nice. Great service. The staff, rooms, balconies and view made our stay perfect. We LOVED the pool. You can only do so much in the town. It has been really hot, so it’s lovely to hang out at the pool all afternoon. The view of the ocean and cliffs is indescribable. You never want to leave. Easy walk into town to shop and have dinner. However, the best meal we had was at the hotel.
Positano
Booked this villa/hotel last minute. Valentina and her family were very helpful. If you don’t mind walking a few steps it’s worth the price! There is also a bus to drive you closer to the location. Room was very clean with beautiful views of Positano and the ocean. Breakfast is personally prepared by Valentina and her family and tastes amazing. Make sure you contact them before you arrive and they will help you out with everything you need to include helping with travel from Naples to their villa.
Positano
The staffs were all really nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing ! Lots of varieties and the fruits change everyday :) The tableware made us feel the perfect positano vibe. The owner's brother's resto right below the hotel was a plus. One thing is, on Google map, it says like 10mins from the ferry harbour. But you need to consider that Google map does not count the stairs..... so it tajes actually 20~25mins as you will want to use an actual road, not just crazy stiff stair way.
The sea view from the balcony was lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast terrace was also gorgeous with an interesting selection of items. Best though was the enormous cappuccino. The hotel is about an hour brisk walk to/from Positano so it is less touristy and quieter - although vehicle traffic was a little noisy. There is a beach that is much less busy than the positano beach but it is a trek with stairs to get to/from.
The location of the hotel and the view from our terrace was absolutely magical. The hotel is located high up and it truly offers better views than most other hotels in Positano. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the terrace was huge (with lounge chairs - we booked a Deluxe), and everything was impeccably cleaned (which gave us tremendous comfort during COVID). The on-site restaurant also has amazing views and a great wine selection.
Positano
The location is perfect. It is right in the heart of positano. You have the most beautiful view huge balcony overseeing the ocean and the center of positano. The price was amazing for the location you will not find a better price and location. The 2 sisters that were in charge of the hotel were amazing, very sweet, helpful, made me feel like home. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone. Exceptional experience!
The staff are the best!! From the boys and girls in reception, the cafe and house keeping staff - everyone there were so warm and welcoming. Helped a lot with our holiday arrangements and anything else that we asked. They really made me and my boy feel like home and made the best experience for our first time in Positano. I would totally go back and choose to stay in this hotel again because of these lovely people:)
If you’re confused about finding the perfect hotel in Positano, Buca Di Bacco will not disappoint! The view from my terrace was absolutely breath taking and the location is perfect. The cleaning crew made sure that our room was kept clean and fully stocked through the days we were there and the staff was very helpful. Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Positano
The hotel is amazing, it exceeded my expectations. The views are breathtaking and the staff is so friendly it makes you want to stay longer. Also the location was great, in Positano there are lots of stars to climb but this hotel is right in the middle, not enough stairs to make you tired but the right amount to give you the best views of the city.
Great location! It was very close to the beach, shops and Santa Maria Assunta Church. We had a view of the steeple, right outside the window. The hotel was very clean, included breakfast and they have good advice for restaurants. The shuttle will pick you up to go to the top of Positano for dinner.
Positano
This hotel is the cleanest place I’ve stayed at in Italy. No mould, and I AMA a clean freak and felt totally comfortable here. Friendly staff that speak really good English. Close enough to the beach and very close to the main shopping area. This is THE ONLY place to stay at in Positano!
The hotel is located on the road that has the best view of Positano and it's a short walk of 10 minutes to the beach. The hotel is close to Franco's bar which is popular and well known for its view, however, the terrace at Albergo California has an even better view!
We had the best time during our stay in hotel Poseidon. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great and the terrace offers a great view. We would come back anytime!
If you thing to visit Positano, your first choice of Hotel is Miramare for all aspect: Location Staff View Breakfast Service Thanks a lot for the amazing staff
