The food, ambiance, views of the beaches, friendly locals. We went in May and it was rainy so we only got 2 days of sunshine. Great for couples. Might be hard with kids due to all the walking/steps to climb unless you get a hotel right on the beach.
So spectacular! A must see! Don't miss Positano better than staying in Sorrento! Le Tre sorella restaurant on beach had the best food there. we tried 3 places. Pizza was terrific for kids! Loved the Amalfi coast blue star boat tour! 11/2 hour cruise perfect! A lot of stairs to negotiate but if you can manage that it is truly beautiful and worth seeing!
Positano is very charming, weather was fantastic. It is work climbing stairs and limited help with baggage . I have been there 2x. I definitely recommend staying closer to the town and not as many stairs. We stayed at Cova Dei Saraceni the first time we went. Location is perfect and service was really great. that was 5 years ago. Positano is a must see and stay it is so charming!
Beautiful views, incredible scenic walks to and from beach, shops. The art and ceramic stores are magnificent and locals were helpful. We took a private boat to Capri. Must do! We had a delicious brunch at Casa E Bottega. Can’t wait to return to this most beautiful part of the world.
Positano is a gorgeous little town on the Amalfi Coast. We have visited several times and I am a bit dismayed by the increase in tourism. The tiny charming streets are choked with people certain times of the day. Regardless, everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. Choose the shoulder season-May or early June. Or September. The locals are warm and friendly, dining opportunities are good, and there are great day trips you can make by ferry-the stunning island of Capri, Amalfi town or by car transfer to the serene town of Ravello in the hills above.
We took a ferry from Salerno to Positano. It had a beautiful view of Amalfi coast. The walk up to Alcione is not bad since it is not too far up. Walking around the streets can get frustrating with all the congestion and lack of sidewalk space. But overall Positano is absolutely beautiful with plenty of restaurants and shops. We recommend Ristorante Max.

The location was great and the view from the terrace was amazing. The room was clean and the bathroom was a decent size. The breakfast buffet spread was nice. They had some delicious pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and deli meat and cheese. The breakfast was included in the price which made it an even better value. From the main beach, this hotel is 350 steps up. It was a nice way to get a little workout in. I plan on staying here again the next time I visit Positano.

The hotel provides drop off and pickup from Positano town with golf type buggy which really helped with us with our 3 kids after all the steps from the beach. Lastly, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
