Giovanni and his family are exceptional hosts. They are always ready to help you with whatever you need. By the end of the stay, you feel as though you are part of the family. The location is a bit out of Positano, but the shuttle they provide far outweighs the out of town location. The view is incredible, and the location is very quiet. The breakfast is homemade to order in a beautiful garden setting. Fantastic breakfast. Giovanni has an agreement with several good restaurants in they area where they pick you up, take you to the restaurant, and deliver you back to the hotel. The rooftop is a nice place to escape, have a drink, a pizza, and view the sunset. Giovanni is the ultimate host. Overall, it was an incredible experience! Highly recommend.
Featuring a free private beach, reachable by elevator, Hotel Le Agavi offers views of the Amalfi Coast, an outdoor heated pool, and 2 restaurants.

Not only were the staff and amenities first class, but the views were breathtaking and the location couldn’t be beat. A shuttle is available to take you into town and that made for an easy and fun experience. Their restaurant is Michelin Starred and absolutely lives up to it with their excellent menu. All of the food was so good! Will definitely be coming back in the future.
The 5-star Hotel Villa Franca features stunning views of the sea and of Positano from its hilltop position. Offering 2 restaurants, it also comes with an outdoor pool, a spa and a bar.

Our place was just beautiful, so comfortable inside, great beds, furniture, it was equipped with everything we needed. The scenery off the patios were outstanding and so gorgeous. Our hosts were the most wonderful couple, they treated us so well. I can't wait to go back, and I highly recommend this beautiful villa.

Breathtaking but touristy.
Breathtaking but touristy. Very hard to get around the city with little parking. You may want to consider staying at a smaller, less expensive, less well known, city along the Amalfi Coast and just catching a ferry in for the day.

Unfortunately, it was over touristed with Americans!
Unfortunately, it was over touristed with Americans! We went in September (I am an American trying to immerse myself with Italians (not Americans) lol). I would not return to this part of Italy bc it was just too touristy for my taste. However, I will say, the landscape from the water and the night time views with all the lights are stunning! The main beach was somewhat small and unwelcoming in space. Music on the Rocks was awful with tacky DJs, a bunch of 20-something kids, and most restaurants on the beach played cheesy American music. IYKYK the vibe. Arienzo Beach was awesome, and hands down the best beach club with a beautiful space! We had a great time there! The food was so good as well, and they had an eclectic playlist with EDM music. -- If you must see the Amalfi Coast, go by boat or yacht, anchor for a day (or even a 1 night stay) to see both the day landscape and evening. Jump off and go to these spots, and then be on your way. Favorite spots: Next2 (dinner), Francos (drinks), La Giara Rooftop Bar (drinks w/view), Casa e Bottega (healthy breakfast). Also, I love driving, I'm a female from Los Angeles, and it wasn't an issue for me despite what everyone was saying. If you are an assertive driver (not timid, understand the flow of traffic, and the edge of your car), it's a way more convenient and affordable option than taxi. Just keep in mind that parking is about $80 per night in the public parking lots.

This destination really does require a lot of walking and the ability to manage a lot of stairs. Thankfully, we were able to manage but I imagine that if you have any physical impairments you may consider staying close to where you will be eating/shopping/ect.

The Hotel is right above Fornillo beach, which is a short, lovely walk from the main part of Positano. This means you get to escape the crowds of Positano - which are ridiculous during the day with all the boat tours. Each apartment has a lovely terrace so you can sit and enjoy the 180 view of the beach. It is best reached by Ferry as the nearest public car parking is a good 10 min walk down (and up) steep stairs. If you come by car, then only take with you a small bag of necessaries!
We had an excellent stay at Casa Caprile. The room was clean and comfortable but by far the best thing about the property is the friendly and helpful staff, who helped us make the most of our time in Positano. Breakfast can be taken in the sister hotel (Il Gabbiano) just over the road - the views are fantastic here, such a nice start to the day! I’d recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t mind a short walk into the centre of Positano, who can handle some stairs!
The location of this hotel is amazing with a wonderful unobstructed view of the ocean! The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel and the cherry on the cake was the owner, Giovanni and his wonderful family who treated everybody like family! We had an unforgettable time in Positano and Al Barilotto del Nonno!
Lovely family run hotel with beautiful decor. Terrace area had very comfy chairs & loungers with fabulous view of Positano and the sea. Food was excellent. Staff very good, friendly & attentive. Room very spacious with lovely balcony with views
