Positano is worth a visit but maybe only stay one night in the town and then move to Praiano which overlooks Positano. The beach front is very disappointing with overpriced food and drink with loud dance music playing, not what I was expecting. Priaiano is a far nicer place to stay with some beach options.Yyou can book a cheaper hotel with a balcony like La Barbera and watch the sunset over Positano.
Positano is a stunning town but can get busy. Whilst some eateries can be expensive there are plenty that offer excellent food at reasonable prices. The beach is beautiful and the archeological museum is well worth a visit.
Positano is the jewel of the Amalfi Coast crown. Everywhere else we visited did not compete with the beauty of Positano. We would recommend it to anyone, unless you have mobility issues as there are LOTS of steps! Great independent shops and restaurants. Two fabulous beaches. It was the perfect trip away for us! We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days (2 travel days) and found that any longer could be slightly too long so it was just right for us!
Positano was exciting, artistic, charming, clean, colorful, friendly, super clean, accessible but lots of walking! It's called the vertical city. Wonderful shops, great variety of food. Spectacular. Far exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to return.
Positano was a stunning place to stay, with breathtaking views and beautiful shops and restaurants. We are at two restaurants in the evening and both times preferred eating after 9pm when it was quieter, cooler and less crowded. The Il Caoitano restaurant and Da Vincenzo are both highly recommended, with the former having incredible views and the latter serving traditional food in a great atmosphere. I would recommend avoiding the main beach and walking a few minutes to the right along the little path to a smaller nicer beach, where the sunbeds are cheaper. We also did a fantastic trip to Amalfi and Ravello which are absolutely recommended.
The physical location, restaurants, and shops were all great. It was certainly pricey, but that's to be expected, and it wasn't too hard to find cheaper options. If you don't like walking a lot, I wouldn't visit, but we actually enjoyed the physical challenges.
Positano
This is an amazing stay, Alfonso’s assistance, accommodations / amenities, local knowledge, and friendliness make it feel much more like a hotel than a rental property. Like anywhere in Positano there are a lot of climbing and stairs to reach the property, but it is so worth it to be slightly off the most touristy path and in a quiet area with amazing private views. Walk down to the beach is fast (10-15 min), and coming back home is doable on foot but the bus helps in the summer heat! 10/5 stars.
Positano
The staffs were all really nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing ! Lots of varieties and the fruits change everyday :) The tableware made us feel the perfect positano vibe. The owner's brother's resto right below the hotel was a plus. One thing is, on Google map, it says like 10mins from the ferry harbour. But you need to consider that Google map does not count the stairs..... so it tajes actually 20~25mins as you will want to use an actual road, not just crazy stiff stair way.
We stayed here for our honeymoon for 4 nights, and it is absolutely stunning! The complimentary breakfast was incredible every morning while overlooking all the colors and energy of Positano. The terrace was our favorite spot with the ocean and cliff views - and live music on Mon/Wed/Fri from 7:30pm until Midnight. Hotel Poseidon is in a great central location (walking distance to everything in Positano) and close to a shortcut of steps to the beaches below.
Positano
The hotel is amazing! The rooms are gorgeous, it has a terrace with a beautiful view. Our room had sea view and was really quiet and perfect for relaxing. Our favorite part of the stay was the breakfast in the terrace, it is delicious with many sweet options, coffees and also salty stuff. You have to walk trough stairs 15-20 minutes to get to the hotel but every hotel in Positano is the same walk... Definitely recommend this hotel, loved it!
I came to Positano with my mom. Location was very important for us because I didn’t want her climbing too many stairs and our stay at Villa La Tartana couldn’t have been better. The hotel is centrally located and very easy to find. The hotel is very clean and the rooms have everything you need. This is a family run hotel but there is 24 hr desk service and all the staff are just wonderful, especially Alfonso who helped us arrange excursions.
The property, besides being a beautiful old style hotel, is perfectly located in the heart of Positano. Its view is by far the best you could wish for, it’s really clean and the staff is simply amazing. Rosita and Carmela are wonderful, but Massimo, Renato and everyone is simply great. The price-value relationship is 10/10. I would not only recommend but I would simply imagine to go back many many times!
Positano
the property is truly beautiful & as described. Positano is heaven. it’s the most magical place. we loved the host Simone he was so kind to us. he arranged to pick us up from the train station (for a fee) and when we went to the wrong station he still came to get us. he made our trip feel perfect & safe. we highly recommend this hotel. also the view from the balcony is breathtaking
Positano
The hotel exceeded expectations. We had such a lovely stay and couldn’t fault it. We would like to return again next year and would definitely be booking this hotel again. We really could not recommend enough and if you stay in positano this is a great hotel. Staff were very attentive and the breakfast was lovely to have in the mornings. View was great and the room was very clean.
Hotel was in a central location in Positano near stores and restaurants. Since we had 5 people, we rented the apartment and had 2 queen beds and a twin. Room was Spacious and we had a lovely balcony with amazing views of the ocean. The hotel staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. I would highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to come back!
If you’re confused about finding the perfect hotel in Positano, Buca Di Bacco will not disappoint! The view from my terrace was absolutely breath taking and the location is perfect. The cleaning crew made sure that our room was kept clean and fully stocked through the days we were there and the staff was very helpful. Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Positano
The hotel is amazing, it exceeded my expectations. The views are breathtaking and the staff is so friendly it makes you want to stay longer. Also the location was great, in Positano there are lots of stars to climb but this hotel is right in the middle, not enough stairs to make you tired but the right amount to give you the best views of the city.
Positano
One of the best hotels in Italy. The staff were extremely friendly and they explained to us about everything in Positano in detailed way. The view from the terrace was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. They even gave us gifts before leaving. I really recommend this hotel.
The staff was super helpful and nice at any occasion. Especially, the staff at breakfast was exceptional, 5 star hotel level. The location is great, central and easy to get there. The view from the balcony was stunning.
Positano
Hotel was located next to lots of restaurants and retail stores. The breakfast provided was unbelievable and convenient to get to. Our room was very clean and secure and it had a wonderful view of the town of Positano.
Positano
I stayed at a hotel in Amalfi, a hotel in Sorrento, two BnB’s in Positano. If I could do it over I’d spend the whole time at Casa María Grazia. It was TRUE Italy. The lodging, the views, the locals. It was amazing.
Positano
Best way to stay in Positano. Tons of space and everything we needed. Great communication with the company who handles stuff. Way better than hotel rooms of people we traveled with. Amazing view
The best hotel in Italy. Coming back every year, and always on the top Absolutely everything is done to make your stay the best ever Bravo Will come back next year, of course
Positano
In the centre, great location. Big balcony is amazing and the view is just perfect. Everything was great. The hotel is next to best reastoraunts in Positano.
The best hotel position in Positano. Views 10 out of 10.
The price is frankly excessive compared to anything else (5,000Euro night) and it makes you consider the entire holiday all over. BUT the place is so amazing that you kinda forgive or look over that fact... They are masters at service and attention to detail. If your users book this hotel then you must persuade them to book somewhere in CAPRI also because that is the only other location in the region that can level up the service of Sirenuse. All other hotels and experiences in the regio (Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento) are light years away from the class and level that Sirenuse and CAPRI as a whole offer.
