United KingdomI was attracted by the gardens, how they are immaculate and well maintained. This is a positive reflection of what I would anticipate that the accommodation would be.
Thelma and Donovan are fantastic hosts. I would describe them as Super Hosts. They put us at immediate ease. They are very conscientious and understanding as we arrived later than expected for the check-in. This platform provided them the opportunity to share their natural passionate abilities to host others with nothing being an issue or problem. Nothing beats local knowledge, and they are willing to share this with their guests.
The accommodation is a traditional brick house of historical importance. It felt like home from home and had all the provisions that you would want and need for any length of stay. WiFi for those teens and young adults who are permanently glued to their phones (Instagram) and for the adults who need to check important emails and catch up on Facebook. There is a wide range of TV channels to watch and Netflix. However, who needs all of that when you have such a homely, sophisticated, well decorated accommodation. My son loved the garden and spent a significant amount of time there. It has been a tranquil and calming overall experience. (My son is in his 20's)
The hosts felt like family, and I shared this with them. They are very special, genuine people.
I will be recommending them to all my friends.

United KingdomMy family (me, my husband and our 8 year old son) stayed in the property for a week and it was literally a home away from home. The host, Kevin, and his family are lovely people, even inviting us over to celebrate Kevin's birthday with them while we were there! The apartment is in a beautiful area with lovely views from the balcony, and is spotlessly clean, modern and felt super safe. We had a wonderful time staying at this apartment and will definitely return in the future!

Mandeville is a very cool and fairly quiet town.
Mandeville is a very cool and fairly quiet town. Its in fact the only "Town on a Hill" in Jamaica. It is known as a residential town especially since the majority of its residents are returning residents but it has lovely airbnbs, villas, hotels (not many) that offer peaceful, clean, beautiful and tranquil spaces. Access to food and night life is literally five minutes away in all directions. The night life is not overbearing, but you can find a food spot or somewhere to have a drink in any direction. My favourite place was the curry goat and soup shops on Spur Tree Hill, then you can find Street Venders selling traditional foods like Jerk chicken, soup etc in every little settlement. In the town you can find KFC, Pizza Hut, Island Grill, Chinese food etc lovely place to just relax and spend a few days from the usual hustle and bustles of life.

I honestly can't pinpoint anything we were contented. It was very quiet and homely. The little thing we're minor! I wanted a standing mirror, i wanted to do my own dishes. However they did it lol. The place is just right memorable.

The climate. The property and friendliness of our hosts. The nature and tranquility and the food in the surrounding areas were amazing. We went to Spa La vie and the service was excellent and then we had dinner at Murray’s and the food was very good except the wings which was cold and tasteless. The curried goat and roti and the jerk chicken hit the spot! We also enjoyed some Asian food from the new plaza “the sovereign” forgot the name of the restaurant but it’s the first restaurant as you enter the complex… I had the malla chicken with noodles and it was everything I wanted. The sweet and sour chicken had bones so that turned me off so I couldn’t eat it but my husband did so it was a win win lol. He had some teriyaki chicken(kind of looked like crispy chicken) I think and I tasted it and it was really good and well seasoned.

My Mandeville stay was very satisfactory after a long flight and drive from Norman Manley airport, it was nice to come to a clean cool place where I could just shower and settle in for the night in a nice clean bed. Very happy customer.

I love the town of Mandeville.
I love the town of Mandeville. First, it's up on a hill so the climate alone is cool and nice. You can sleep without much use of a fan. Plus, there are a lot of business places and communities within a central location. Hence, you can meet a lot of people and get to know those in your close proximity. Also, there were attractions and there are easy access to different places due to the variety of public transportation available. What would I avoid? If you were to travel on a Sunday, it would be better to have a driver to take you around since public transportation is limited on that day

This is a cute 3 bedroom house. Two of the bedrooms are locked, but you'll have access to the rest of the house. It was great to have all of that space. The house is nicely furnished (comfy couch) and tastefully decorated. The house has bars on all doors and windows and all entrances have additional locks so there is a level of security that no one has access to the house without the keys. The location is just a few minutes from downtown Mandeville and all the area conveniences.

Thelma went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. It was a pleasure to wake up to her beautiful garden every morning. The apartment was airy and breezy and the amenities for cooking are available. Whenever I go to Mandeville I will be staying at The Villa Retreat

Minutes from Mandeville town centre.
Rooms were clean and a generous size.
Staff were amazingly helpful (not sure if I'm allowed to name names. haha) which ended up in us having a network of taxi's they use/refer.

Breakfast was ok. I liked the latitude lounge, the bartenders are professional. Front desk staff was friendly. The hotel is in the heart of Mandeville so I had the option for going out and exploring and finding food.
