Hotel in Isawa Onsen, Fuefuki
Located in Fuefuki, 2.2 miles from Isawa Hot Spring, Kur and Hotel Isawa provides accommodations with a restaurant and free private parking. This 3-star hotel offers free WiFi. I have been to the Suruga hotel as well. Baths are different. Isawa has less choice and no view. Baths are still nice but should be moved to the top level to enjoy the view of Mt Fuji.

Tranquil Japanese-style rooms at Kagetsu boast views of an exquisite Japanese garden, and come with personal attendant service. We came earlier by one day. There was a situation when we didn’t have booking on today’s day. So manager moved our reservation to let us check in right now. Thank you very much. The hotel looks like small village with rocks, waterfalls and a lot of plants. Very clean, quiet, healthy place.

Located in Fuefuki, Yamanashi region, Hanayagi no Sho Keizan is located 1640 feet from Isawa Hot Spring. The staff was exceptional. One of the English speaking concierges made every effort to ensure we were well informed and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The pandemic mitigation measures (i.e., social distancing and like measures), were very good and well thought out.

The accommodation and setting at Loof Glamping provides a unique and fabulous experience for viewing Mount Fuji and surrounding area The staff are friendly and very helpful. Yoshie and Nori did everything to make our stay fantastic. The location is perfect: Tucked away, but easily accessible by road and only 20 minutes by bus to Lake Kawaguchiko with fabulous views of Mount Fuji. There is also a convenience store a short drive/20 minute walk from the property. The food at Loof Glamping was amazing - skilfully prepared fresh ingredients, leaving us to cook the meals to our own preference on the barbecue. The breakfasts were wonderful! We did not want to leave Loof Glamping and are already planning a return visit for the future. Highly recommended!!
Such a nice place for travelling. Better to ride a car to go more places but i think it can be bicycle as well if u hv the gear. People are nice. Although we dont speak Japanese but they try to help us and communicate with us. Location is good, 1.5 hrs fm Tokyo.
Difficult to get to, need a car, 15 min. to Kawaguchiko lake and attractions. Great supermarket in town - Ogino, cooked meals - sushi to bento boxes, breads etc Laundry in town. Great views, especially sunrise, of Mt Fuji on northern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko.
Drive if you can as you can look around much more easily for example going to the famous yamanashi waterfall) and if coming from Tokyo you can also visit the five lakes (Goko in Japanese) on the way there or back and Gotenba outlet mall if you like shopping (although I think it's a bit overrated).
Beautiful area, only scratched the surface of wonderful places to see and things to do. We had local cuisines and wines. What I was not expecting were the buses stopped running very early so had to take taxis everywhere.
