The communal breakfast was wonderful. We had locally made honey on homemade pancakes, breakfast sausages, and locally sourced boar meatballs!! They suggested a close-by swimming location near a small pizzeria. The pizza was freshly made, topped with basil grown right outside their herb garden. My daughter loved it all. She especially liked the drink which was like a lemonade but used plum. We enjoyed connecting with locals at the swimming hole and around town. Claire and Shiro's suggestions were appropriate for our interests and our small family.

Nested in a very quiet part of Senzu, the area surrounding the property is very calm and at night on clear day, you can clearly see tons of stars in the sky. The house itself has very homey feeling due to mostly being wood, but it has all the necessary facility to be comfortable. Sho-san is very kind and accommodating, kindly enough to explain all the amenities that we got. He speaks English quite well (even though we mostly converses in Japanese), but he also surprised my Turkish friends when we was able to speak their language (apparently he’s been tot Turkey before). We checked in a bit late at 9pm due to enjoying the Hoshizora train in Senzu station and almost forgot that we actually ordered half board stay (i.e. Including dinner), but he was being so considerate and offered us if we still want our dinner. That is next level customer service. Oh, the foods (dinner and breakfast) was also amazing. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and regretted that we only stay for one night. I hope I will get the chance to stay again in the future.

We arrived on a very rainy day and were greeted warmly by the owner, which set such a kind and welcoming tone for our stay. Despite the weather, the place had a cozy and inviting vibe that made us feel right at home. The house itself is beautiful and incredibly convenient, with everything we needed. We loved spending time indoors, watching movies and cooking dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. The breakfast served by our host was fantastic and delicious, a perfect start to the day. I only wish we could have stayed for at least two nights to fully relax and enjoy everything this lovely place has to offer.
