Very spacious, clean room with beautiful view from the window. Shared onsen was clean and comfortable. We were so happy with the room that we booked an extra night. Big kitchen and common area.

The dinner was amazing: wide range offered in buffet style with life counters as well. Everything delicious. A bit overwhelming but that’s a luxury problem. The staff is very friendly. Amazing place up in the mountains, but actually just 20min walk from Utoro centre. The walk is very pleasant. There are foxes around the hostel that can be seen I loved my dorm and bed cabin. The common room is so cool, feels like a mountain cabin. And the natural onsen!!! Wow! I has been really perfect!

The house was lovely. Very clean and well decorated in a modern style. All of the rooms were perfect with great cooking facilities and a warm comfy living room. Washing machine and laundry room was very useful and clean. The bathroom has a large bath which was fantastic to enjoy in the evenings. The hosts were very hospitable and helped us by explaining how everything in the house worked. We greatly appreciated how kind and responsive the hosts were. We booked whale watching saw orcas and had an amazing time in Rausu. Short walk to the convenience store and the local restaurant with amazing seafood. Would recommend staying here to everyone and will stay here again when I come back to Rausu. Highlight of my trip to Hokkaido. Thanks Sugi Nest Villa.

Without a doubt the best place we ever stayed at in Japan, and we have been to quite a few special ones. Every little detail was thought of, the cottage is beautiful and just a few meters from the sea. Lisa, the owner, is a master in hospitality. We felt pampered and taken care of. It was wonderful.
