The scenic beauty and the service they provided was excellent. From the welcoming until we check out we were provided with an exceptional service. The calm and quiet environment was so refreshing our souls and minds. Food was also very tasty.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful Bungalow during our visit to Sinharaja rain forest. Bungalow Manager, Ishan together with the chef and butler ensured we had an amazing experience with a very attentive service. The food was amazing and the Sri Lankan cooking demo followed by delicious lunch in the garden is a must try. The bungalow itself had a very luxurious set up and beautiful interior with views to die for. We wished we could've stayed longer at this beautiful place.

The owner was so helpful and organised a guide for the rainforest almost as soon as we arrived for a great price! He also drove us to the bus station while we were leaving and gave us a lift for dinner which was so lovely! The view was absolutely amazing and was a very relaxing place!

Exceptional stay in the rainforest – highly recommended! The hosts Janith and Monisha were incredibly kind and friendly, and it was a real pleasure to communicate with them. The breakfast and the dinners we ordered were excellent and very generous — we strongly recommend trying the local traditional dishes and even planning all meals at the accommodation. Staying in a glass-walled house in the middle of the rainforest is a truly unique experience. There were four of us, and we could observe the local wildlife and plant life around the clock. At night we even watched distant thunderstorms. Different groups of monkeys came by and we observed each other from close range, and there were also many bird species and lizards in the trees. A true paradise for nature lovers. The nearby waterfall seemed quite loud at first, but we got used to it quickly. The building itself is very well maintained, including the living space, toilet, and washing facilities. We also used the bathtub, which was a great bonus. One of the beds was a little squeaky, but it didn’t affect the overall experience. Getting there independently is somewhat difficult, so we used the minibus service arranged by them. We recommend relying on the transportation and logistics services provided by the hosts — the cars were in good condition, and all drivers had a calm and safe driving style. The location is perfect for exploring the rainforest. Janith is also an excellent guide who can show you the best of the surrounding nature. We also visited a tea plantation and tea factory with him, which was a very enjoyable experience. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Gihan and his family are extremly welcoming and nice. They made delicious local dinners and breakfast, showed me around the beautiful garden and river behind the house and really provided with everything I needed. Gihan also took me to the jungle for a trekking which was really beautiful. He's very knowledgeable about the forest and the area and also does a lot of conservation work to protect this important habitat. I can recommed anyone that is looking for a simple and authentic homestay close to Sinharaja to stay with Gihan. The prices for the accommodation, food and jungle trek were all more than reasonable and worth every penny. Bohoma stuti Gihan!

We've accommodated in hotel sanctuary last week. It was very clean and attractive.The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well organized.The pool area was fantastic, to have fun.The hotel keeper was very friendly and helpful.The hotel owner was the same. The meals were really delicious.We could enjoy the scenic beauty of rakwana mountains right from the hotel.That accomodation package was very reasonable for the payed price.I recommend this place for people, who are expecting a perfect stay near Rakwana.

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.
