Our group consolidated here after a hike up Toubkal. We were the only guests. Convenient location to check out shops and restaurants, etc. Parking options across the road. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff was courteous. Unfortunately, no staff could be found once we realized our cold water valve in the shower wasn’t functioning. Not possible to shower with only the very hot water. 5 of us waited to cycle through one shower in another guest room. Not how we envisioned it after 12+ hours of hiking. But, we made it work.

Riad owner Rachid, was very communicative before and during the stay, giving us the necessary advice on how to prepare for the trip. He organized our transport from the airport and hire of for us a mountain guide. Special thanks to Youssef and Mohamad for taking care of us during our stay and for the freshly made and served with a big smile traditional breakfasts and dinners that were the highlight of our stay. The view from our balcony over the Imlil Valley exceeded our expectations, it was simply beautiful.
Rachid is also a tour operator who organizes many other tours around Morocco if needed.

This is a review for Imlil itself. The Riad I stayed at was in a small village about 12km outside Imlil called Tamguiste which is nearer to Tachdirrt. Take care to expand the map to look at exactly where your accommodation is. I wanted peace and simplicity so chose somewhere more remote. Imlil itself is a village which has been taken over by tourism so many more facilities and activities like mountain biking, paragliding, guided hikes etc are on offer. There are plenty of restaurants and shops mostly selling souvenirs. It is in a valley with steep sides and several of the properties are high up on either side though many of them can arrange transport for luggage and sometimes guests via donkey or mule.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom - Scored 8.08.0

Best way for me to describe Imlil is the Chamonix of the Atlas mountains, you get a few tourists during the day, the little supermarkets are great but you won't get any beer or wine here. It's the idea base for walking in either direction into the mountains. My pics are actually of the mountains, not Imlil, hope this helps.

What , I like the most is the location of this place the Valley is surrounded by tiny villages located it on the cliffs of the mountains therefore we pick Arghare Village , the views where spectacular! Also the decor in the place amazing 🤩!! We had a small vehicle 🚗, my husband drove up it was a bit challenging , just take your time is part of the journey:) Said came right away and meet us. To make it easier. The next day I walk to the main village Imlil , cascades , like 25 minutes walk , everyone is nice 😊

the only thing was that there were 2 jnane lkarma we arrived in the first one less nice on the road and we have to wait there till mohamed from our wright accomodation arrived . the thing didn't like was after a long way i asked at the first establishement if i can have something to drink he answered no time you will have to leave soon but we had to wait still 20min there before our saver mohamed came to bring us 'home' he did took our luagagges cause we have to walk 5min before arriving and first thing was a munthe thee plus somme delicious cockies than i felt now i am on holidays

Best place to plan to climb Jebel Toubkal (4160 m) – Morocco’s and North Africa’s highest mountain. Not only Toubkal but many other day trips and hikes can take place from Imlil including visiting Berber villages, with guides who can be hired locally with many different types of trips to meet your needs, horse, donkey or bicycle its all on offer. Note no local ATM machines so take enough cash or be prepared for a short trip to Ansi. Wherever you travel the views are inspiring.

excellent hideaway from the heat of Marrakesh. Zarathustra restaurant cooked us a fantastic dinner, for the right price. We has a look to their rooms, and other that there was no air-con at the time, the style, price and size were very nice. Some of the rooms had shared bathroom. We did not find good restaurants in Imlil other than the above, though we did not check other hotels and riads. there are some local restaurants that were ok, very local....SergioItaly
