My family and I had an absolute blast during our one-night stay at Château Roslane. The property is beautifully maintained, with serene gardens, a lovely pool, and elegantly designed rooms that are both clean and comfortable. The location is peaceful and ideal for a relaxing getaway, while the professional and warm service from the gracious night shift lady to the attentive gentleman in the morning were truly above and beyond and made our stay unforgettable.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Belle Vue Meknès. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warmth and professionalism, making me feel genuinely cared for. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with a great bed that guaranteed a perfect night's sleep. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, ideal for resting after a long day in the city. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous variety of fresh and tasty options. I also loved the hotel’s facilities — the pool and the terrace create a very pleasant and relaxing environment. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay. What truly stands out is the quality of the service. The team is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you need. Overall, Hotel Belle Vue Meknès offers a perfect combination of comfort, cleanliness, and great hospitality. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes.

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes. The business people are less aggressive in trying to sell you something & it was easy to navigate around the city. Plenty of interesting architecture, Médina gates and nice places to eat.

Interesting medina, market and main square.

Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gate

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream. Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum. Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that...

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly...

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly recommend visiting the partially restored Roman city ruins of Volubilis. It's about a 45 mins drive up the mountains. Keep your speed limited to 60 km/h though as there are a lot of police speed traps! It costs 70 dh to enter the grounds and around 200 dh to get a guide to show you around (mine spoke excellent English).

We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis.

We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis. We should have stayed longer. The vendors had quality merchandise and prices were by far better than Fes and Marrakech. Our hosts were very hospitable. The room was comfortable and beautiful. This town is the real heart of Morocco.

Wonderfull experience! Beautiful and comfortable place, very clean, the staff was very helpful starting with our luggage because there is no elevator, and that was a big help for us as a group and ending with our wellbeing! The host of the hotel, Mrs. Karima is a very kind and warm lady who makes sure we have all we need! The Restaurant of the hotel has the best food from Meknes! We enjoy every lunch and dinner!

We have stayed in many Riads throughout Morocco over the years and Riad Yamcha is one of our favourites. The owners and staff are warm and friendly, the food is fantastic and the whole atmosphere was laid back. Our room was very comfortable and clean, plus the roof terrace has great views over Meknes. All in all we can highly recommend Riad Yamcha.

The riad is just behind the moulay Ismail mausoleum. And reach on foot in 2 mins. It's clean and nicely decorated. We booked 4 rooms and they upgraded us to 4 suites. Breakfast made by the staff is very nice, thr best we had so far in Morocco. Highly recommended.
