The room was big and clean, with AC. Bathroom was large, equiped with towels and hair dryer. Room cleaning every day. Comfortable bed. Close to the beach. Discount 10% at the beach bar and hotel restaurant. Close to bus stations. Friendly stuff. Better to pay for the breakfast when booking. Great value.

The location was really nice - walking distance to a beach on one side and a promenade on the other side. We really liked the stay, the communication with the host was very good. Ersilia was very responsive and she reached out well in advance to plan the check-in. The apartment was very clean and had all the basic requirements. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, peaceful quiet little town with restaurants within 10 minute walk. Very clean, spacious and well equipped home. Excellent communication by Dario. He was always at hand to help out with directions, questions and suggestions. Very prompt and friendly. We were a multi generational group with kids and never felt crowded or cluttered, the rooms are large and spacious. I would highly recommend this apartment- the views are stunning and communication from Dario is super quick and friendly. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.

Marsaskala is a safe town but there are better locations on the island. It takes 35 min by bus 135 to get to and from the airport Luqa. Generally speaking Malta should be visited in October , November, March or April in my opinion. In July it is already a desert like - no grass, a few trees and very hot (over 32C) so the best way to rest is nearby a beach or on the boat. It takes 1 hour by bus to the city centre (Valletta). Sandy beaches are on the North(2h by bus) and green hills on the West-North part of Malta. St Julian's is for party animals.

We live on Gozo and enjoy short vacations on Malta and are regular visitors to Marsaskala. The harbor side is well endowed with a mix of good restaurants and bars. There are also ample benches for sitting to watch people and boats. We enjoy walking from the harbor to the site of the old (now deilect) Jerma Palace Hotel and the nearby historic Saint Thomas which is shortly to reopen to the public following a major restoration.

Nice place, very good to eat.
Nice place, very good to eat. But Malta in general is nearly full with buildings. So a lot of people, a lot of traffic.
Maltese people in general are quite secluded, even though everybody speaks English quite well. If you strike up a conversation with somebody in the street, you can be sure it's a foreign traveler too.

I also spent time in Valletta, Sliema and Gozo. I'm so glad I ended the trip in Marsaskala. It's a lot quieter and more comfortable the other places I stayed. It was the perfect way to wind down and enjoy the harbor, the people and the ambiance of Malta before leaving. And it's also closer to the airport!

We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala...
We had a week in St Pauls Bay so our 2nd week at Marsaskala was most welcome. A quiet coastal village/small town and off of the main tourist route. Having said that, Valletta is only 20 minutes away and easily reached by bus for 2euros or a Bolt Taxi for about 12 euros. Bolt is superb service and cheaper than white taxis & Uber. We used them quite a bit in our 2 weeks when some buses were full.
Marsaxlokk 10 minutes away is well worth a visit, go on Sunday if you want heaving crowds around the market or any other day if you want to enjoy the fishing village with sme 70 fishing boats in the bay, a few market stalls and a very relaxed feel.
If you do visit on Sunday, avoid the stall selling 'Maltese' small biscuits & cakes right opposite the village square/Costa Coffee. There are lots of online warnings about him, items are unpriced but when you come to pay you will be ripped off eg. 5 euro for a 2" almond cake. He won't give you a refund if you complain.
In Marsaskala, 'Cool Waters' bar has excellent food and very reasonably priced.
Orient Market 3 is a big well stocked supermarket with good prices.
Building is nice, rooms are OK, I prefer latex matless, it is clean. bus station and small, but very good food shop is incorporated in the hotel.
Otherwise, breakfast is OK, hotel is OK, city centre is on walk distance, withe nice restaurants, small beach is nearby, walking road by seacoast is magnific, bus station is just nearby, but busses in Malta is city transport, meaning they stop each 100m, to let people go out and in. That way time spent in the bus from that station to Valletta is around one hour.
The property was neat and clean. We found it comfortable and were able to relax. We had travelled with friends and everyone enjoyed the stay. The kids loved the pool and the beachside view.
Rosanne was helpful as she helped us with the taxi booking to and from hotel and also helped us leave our luggage whilst we went out for a few hours on the last day which was really helpful.
Great location as it is in the heart of Marsaskala and also very close to the bus terminus which is definitely a plus. The property is very clean and well maintained and the staff is very helpful.
The friendliness of the hotel made this a place we'd visit again. It sits in a lovely unspoilt corner of Malta...and the whole pool area is as cosy as it gets. Just wonderful!
Very beautiful nice and bright hotel. It has a lot of space and everything you need with a perfect view. Good location and very friendly manager, so highly recommended.
