It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

    The beach is very nice.

The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

    This accommodation was 10/10.

This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

San Agustinillo is a peaceful destination on the Mexican Pacific coast of Oaxaca. The town is clean, safe and friendly. There are plenty of opportunities to practice self care. This is not a party town. If you look for relaxation and beauty, this is the place to go to!

    The beach is beautiful.

The beach is beautiful. Huge waves but beyond them swimming was great. There is a beach on the side which is very good for snorkelling! There are many wonderful restaurants, beach chairs you can rent with umbrellas, and food and drinks available for purchase which were quite good. We hung at mostly at Los Olas during the day! The next town over, Mazunte was a hoot. I felt like I was back in Hippie days. We participated in a turtle release program. They have a few and it was fantastic and heart warming.

    Lovely quiet place!

Lovely quiet place! Be aware that not many places are open after 6pm but you can easily walk to Mazunte which has a larger choice of restaurants. There are a couple of shops where you can get basics such as water and snacks. La Mora is great for breakfast!

Casa Mono is located in a beautiful and private spot only minutes away from the center of San Agustinillo. Our hosts were super helpful, making sure the electricity and water system were up and running after a storm had passed through the night before. Rooms were impeccable. They took their time to show us around the property and made themselves readily available. Overall, excellent hospitality. We are definitely coming back to stay at this property.

This is a level slightly higher than glamping. They are minimally furnished cabins on the beach, just large enough for a bed and no hot water. I’ve stayed in places like this plenty in Mexico and can enjoy just the basics- but it’s just way over priced here. We chose an ocean view room but its a pretty obstructed view, we were misled by the photos. Still the common area on the beach, chairs and hammocks are nice. Overall not a great value.

The terrace on the third floor with the kitchen is fantastic. We spent a lot of time there. Having the kitchen and refrigerator is a huge value. Also the hammocks and the ocean view. The owner and staff were very understanding with our late arrival and stayed late for us. No dedicated parking but easy street parking and safe enough neighborhood to do street parking. Great location with easy access to San Agustinillo and Mazunte.

Don’t know how anyone can moan - incredible rooms right on the beach. The beach itself is really quiet and the hotel provides sun loungers, hammocks etc that you can use all day. Other reviews mention salt water showers but this is false, they’re all fresh water with good pressure. The breakfasts are also delicious and the team at the hotel/cafe were lovely. The list goes on!

We liked everything. The location and cleanliness are exceptional and we loved the view from the room and from the public areas. We also enjoyed being a little bit away from the night buzz of Mazunte and San Agustinillo. The king size bed is very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to assist us. As the place is quite small we felt as if it was our own house.

A perfect hotel located on the most beautiful beach there is. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with excellent food prices and service. On the beach there are rocking beds with comfortable mattresses that you can lie on and relax. The hotel staff was excellent and always helped us with any questions. The room was large and spacious with our own balcony.

A small hotel in an exceptional location, right on the beach. probably the prettiest beach I have ever visited. we didn’t use the restaurant, preferring to walk up the hill to the variety of places in Mazunte. very helpful staff. They are eco-conscious, and it is a very relaxed environment.

The hotel is right on the beach and ocean. You can hear the waves crashing down about 50 feet from your room door, fantastic. we also enjoyed the courtyard pool as well as the restaurant that is part of the hotel.
