Overlooking the sparkling waters of Anse Vata Bay, Le Méridien Nouméa features an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Great service, great offer of restaurants and activities. Both service managers we met did everything they could to make our stay as nice as possible and we appreciated the customer oriented attitude. Location is nice and convenient.
Located 2 minutes’ walk from Anse Vata Bay where guests can hire surfboards and stand up paddle boards, Apartment Petit Loup offers free WiFi and a balcony with sea views. Firstly, Helene the owner/host is incredibly lovely and helpful. She gave us clear instructions on how to get to the property (which is located at the Hilton Hotel) and met us there. She welcomed us, showed us around the apartment and had the essentials provided already. This was helpful as we were only staying one week so we didn't need to buy dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid, toilet paper etc. Even a light breakfast was provided. Her instructions allowed us to find the local supermarket easily and get anything else we needed. Location is perfect!! Everything is located downstairs from the hotel - restaurants (many kinds from Indian, Thai, Italian, Mexican), mini mart, shopping stores, bakery, cocktail/juice bar and the information centre, aquarium and water taxis (across to both Duck and Master Island) are a short 5min walk down the promenade. The room is huge - with the bedroom now separated from the lounge by a screen which is nice. The TV we didn't use at all (it's all in French) but if you wanted to just bring some DVD's to watch you could. We spent most of our time lazing about on the sunny balcony overlooking the ocean watching the sun set. Free WIFI was helpful in looking up things to do in the area. Lemon Bay (15min walk down the promenade) was incredible for the evenings. Many bars and restaurants and lively entertainment. It has a life guard on duty and a beautiful beach. The water pressure in the shower is also sensational! Helene also came to our aid when we accidentally locked both sets of keys in the room! And helped us to sort our rental car when it had issues. We were also able to pay via credit card. There is also a NZ/AUS plug in the bathroom so don't need to take any travel adapters. You will not be disappointed with this property. Great value for money and just a wonderful place to relax. Things not to be missed: Water taxi to Duck Island for snorkeling, Aquarium and La Belle Canopy Tours!
Located alongside the beach, Hotel Beaurivage is 10 minutes' drive from Noumea's city center. It offers private room with free WiFi. I love how close this hotel is to the beach. It is easy to get into town. The room was nice, staff really friendly. I’ve stayed here twice and loved my stay both times.
Hotel Le Lagon offers accommodations just 328 feet from the Anse Vata Beach, Noumea. Guests enjoy an onsite day spa, a heated swimming pool and 250 MB of free WiFi per day. staff were considerate, friendly and helpful, food from restaurant was great, facilities were fabulous-sauna was super and i used this most nights which i loved! rooms comfortable and spacious....great stay, thank you all!!
Located in the heart of famous Lemon Bay, just 2 minutes' walk from the beach, Marina Beach Residence offers studios and apartments with unique style and decor. I stayed at the hotel for 11 days as a solo traveler. I asked for a new room the following morning, one with a small balcony since my original apartment lacked this amenity. The request was granted promptly and politely. Everything was spotless and in order, the cleaning was done every three days. The cleaning ladies were and are very good. The bed was a queen size one and very comfortable, as well as the pillows (I am usually out of luck with them, but not in this occasion). The managing staff were two lovely ladies: Aurora and Cannelle -I hope I got the names right, their beauty was parallel to their impeccable service. Also, they provide a myriad of advice and good conversation. The location of the residence is a 4-minute walk to Baie des Citrons. One small supermarket (Bikini, that is its name) reachable in 2 or 3 minutes. If you are fast you can reach Casino supermarket (expensive) and a bakery (OK) next to it in 7 minutes, but let’s estimate 10. There are ATMs there, as well on Baie des Citrons (BCI Agence deLa baie des Citrons, a bank by the beach). The bus stop, if you are lazy, is by the corner of the hotel, in front of the real state pink color building. There are bars and restaurants at the bay. Also, the beach, do I need to mention the beach? It’s really beautiful and the sand very clean, great swimming and snorkeling by the MV Lounge area. If you do snorkel, please don’t stand on the reef and remember that the reef doesn’t like sunscreen. Noumea and New Caledonia are beautiful, and hasn’t caught with a high loads of tourists going in, not yet.
Easy to get to .The Turtles were amazing on the back side of the island. Some of the rooms (garden view) were closer to a piece of reasonable beach and cost less than what I was given and payed for. You can ONLY eat at the restaurant or Snack Bar unless you have carried some food to the Island with you. NO cooking facilities in the room but a bar fridge was in my beach front room. I socialize easily but it was not a place where people sat round a bar and chatted to other travellers.
Great facilities. Buffet was standard but the pastries excellent. Dinner is on par with prices for main meals in Noumea (with the 2 for 1 deal). Everyone was lovely to us (which seemed to be a common point of contention in previous reviews). Best part? Got to snorkel with turtles just off the beach! Water activities were also fantastic.
Great stay, staff were helpful, check in is easy. Only thing is careful with the sea snake, especially around the over water bungalow. Apparently not dangerous but little poisonous but little poison is still a poison!
The hotel here is extremely expensive with poor service. The island is not really suitable for small children. The nice side of the island, with sand, has a kite boarding school. Riders are within a couple of meters of the shoreline and moving very fast. The other side is mostly rock.
Gorgeous location and amazing for snorkelling. We had a turtle right outside our overwater bungalow and a few more just a short walk away.. amazing variety of fish. Massage facilities and jet ski rental were both brilliant. The hotel staff were super nice and ensured we had a pleasant stay
