Floating on a turquoise lagoon, L'escapade Îlot Maître offers accommodations with stunning garden and sea views. It offers beach access and an outdoor pool with a poolside restaurant. Bungalow over the water provides amazing views and we enjoyed watching turtles and colorful fish swim right below our feet.
Offering panoramic views of Nouméa’s beach, Casa Del Sole is located only 164 feet from chic restaurants and bars. It provides serviced apartments with an outdoor pool. Large apartments. Beautiful view across bay and out to sea. As extended family we had four apartments and it was so easy to move between and stay in contact. Kitchen facilities fine to cook meals if wanted.
Located 2 minutes’ walk from Anse Vata Bay where guests can hire surfboards and stand up paddle boards, Apartment Petit Loup offers free WiFi and a balcony with sea views. Firstly, Helene the owner/host is incredibly lovely and helpful. She gave us clear instructions on how to get to the property (which is located at the Hilton Hotel) and met us there. She welcomed us, showed us around the apartment and had the essentials provided already. This was helpful as we were only staying one week so we didn't need to buy dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid, toilet paper etc. Even a light breakfast was provided. Her instructions allowed us to find the local supermarket easily and get anything else we needed. Location is perfect!! Everything is located downstairs from the hotel - restaurants (many kinds from Indian, Thai, Italian, Mexican), mini mart, shopping stores, bakery, cocktail/juice bar and the information centre, aquarium and water taxis (across to both Duck and Master Island) are a short 5min walk down the promenade. The room is huge - with the bedroom now separated from the lounge by a screen which is nice. The TV we didn't use at all (it's all in French) but if you wanted to just bring some DVD's to watch you could. We spent most of our time lazing about on the sunny balcony overlooking the ocean watching the sun set. Free WIFI was helpful in looking up things to do in the area. Lemon Bay (15min walk down the promenade) was incredible for the evenings. Many bars and restaurants and lively entertainment. It has a life guard on duty and a beautiful beach. The water pressure in the shower is also sensational! Helene also came to our aid when we accidentally locked both sets of keys in the room! And helped us to sort our rental car when it had issues. We were also able to pay via credit card. There is also a NZ/AUS plug in the bathroom so don't need to take any travel adapters. You will not be disappointed with this property. Great value for money and just a wonderful place to relax. Things not to be missed: Water taxi to Duck Island for snorkeling, Aquarium and La Belle Canopy Tours!

Hotel Le Lagon offers accommodations just 328 feet from the Anse Vata Beach, Noumea. Guests enjoy an onsite day spa, a heated swimming pool and 250 MB of free WiFi per day. staffs were great. help us with everything we need. Big room. great breakfast.
Located in the heart of famous Lemon Bay, just 2 minutes' walk from the beach, Marina Beach Residence offers studios and apartments with unique style and decor. We had a great studio room with large balcony. Kitchenette well equipped with kettle, 2 ring hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Any additional items such as tea towels and washing up liquid are supplied from reception. Plenty of pots and pans to cook a good meal. All the staff are terrific. Housekeeping is twice per week which suited us. If you need extra bathroom items, just ask and the ladies are eager to provide these for you. Well maintained property, the staff continually perform maintenance checks and tasks for continual improvement for guests. The location is perfect. 5 minute walk to beach. Lemon bay is beautiful. The promenade walk takes you all the way around the headland to Anse Vata beach. 7 minute walk to Port Plaisance where you will find small shopping mall with Casino Supermarket, patisserie and across the road is a pharmacy. Bus stop at the end of the road - 2 minute walk, you can catch the No.3 to the main part of town for 300xpf. Overall a fabulous place to stay and a great location. Highly recommended.
The turtles were awesome on the island but you need to ask reception on where best to find them. The coral is not what you expect and heard cause of previous storms so don't expect and abundance of fish. Go to duck island for that.
Easy to get to .The Turtles were amazing on the back side of the island. Some of the rooms (garden view) were closer to a piece of reasonable beach and cost less than what I was given and payed for. You can ONLY eat at the restaurant or Snack Bar unless you have carried some food to the Island with you. NO cooking facilities in the room but a bar fridge was in my beach front room. I socialize easily but it was not a place where people sat round a bar and chatted to other travellers.
Tip, Take your own beer and soft drinks, the room fridge is empty and will save you. Buffet good quality, but not huge, good for food wastage, but limited choice of desserts for example. Good wine list. Good service, albeit a bit slow on occasion. Room was a bit tired but very comfortable, plenty of space. Could do with a line or something to hang out swim wear or water sport gear to dry out.
The staff were really friends, the rooms were well equipped, as was the island. We snorkelled with giant turtles, and hired a jet ski. The food on site was exceptional, with a wide range or choices. It is a very small island and easy to get around.
Great stay, staff were helpful, check in is easy. Only thing is careful with the sea snake, especially around the over water bungalow. Apparently not dangerous but little poisonous but little poison is still a poison!
Swimming with the turtles was the highlight Great kite boarding for those who are keen as one side of the island is very windy. Very easy walking around the island at low tide and also on full tide Buffet Breakfast and buffet dinners were great. Lunches and snacks also available
