hands down the best stay of the trip. It's at the top of a mountain, next to a huge waterfall. the view is breathtaking. We had a problem with our shower (no cold water) but have been given access to the shower in the room next door. The electricity went out - they brought us candles! The atmosphere was remarkable and the staff very attentive. We slept very well. The breakfast was amazing as well

My stay in a beautiful cabin at Vollsnes Feriehus was nothing short of breath-taking. The views of the mountains and the lake was stunning, there is a fantastic hike a short walk away from the stay. The cabin was fully supplied, clean, aesthetic, and very cute. I also want to say a huge thank you to the owners who were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and generous during my stay. I couldn't have picked a better stay in my visit to such a beautiful country. I highly recommend Vollsnes Feriehus for a peaceful and very memorable stay in Norway.

Great cabin. Space for 6 ppl with everything you need (even a dishwasher!) The 2 out of 6 beds are in the loft and you have to go up by the ladder and you can't stand up fully up there. It was no problem for us and actually fun for kids. Linen and towels were provided which is not a norm for cabins in Norway, so that was great! The view is great. Location is also great, not too far of a drive to glaciers and hikes.

We found a beautifully located campsite there. The cabins were simple, tidy and clean. The view was wonderful, and the reception staff were very helpful with any questions or requests we had. We had a very, very good meal in the adjoining restaurant and were treated in a friendly and personal manner. For anyone who prefers individuality, freedom and friendliness, this is a very nice place to stay.

Grotli Høyfjellshotell is a historical hotel, built in 1905 and is located just off the scenic road Gamle Strynefjellsvegen and close to the famous Geriangerfjord.
