Lorentz, the owner, and the rest of the team is super friendly, we really felt at home here and would definitly recommend Hjelle Hotel. They also offer sauna (free) and a gym (50 NOK) which is very nice and very big.

Don't be fooled by the low rates, this place is a real gem! Apparently the owners of the hotels have changed this year and improved a lot. The structure is in a wonderful place, easy to reach, next to an amazing viewpoint on the waterfall Videfossen. It has a very nice common room (with some board games) and restaurant with a view on the valley. The breakfast has a lot of very nice options and there is an option to eat there a buffet dinner, but we didn't try it since it was a bit expensive (520kr). The room was essential but big, very functional and perfectly clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

Vollsnes Feriehus is situated in Hjelle, by Lake Strynevatnet, All accommodation options have a fully equipped kitchen and free WiFi. Some offer lake views. Stryn Ski Centre is 25 km away.

Perfect location and easy access to hiking trails , it was a great feeling to come back home after an active day. Fresh morning and evening swim and nice veranda for cozy evenings.

Owners papa was a nice man who helped plan trips. If you like a fjord view, with 2 glaciers from your deck, a river and waterfall, then this is the place for you. My family thought it was the nicest place we have ever stayed, all things considered.

Hytte is really spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Hjelle is scenic little village on the lake, we liked that it wasn't crowded with lots of tourists like Geiranger. We hiked to Segestad Mountine Farm, which was great and we were the only persons on the trail. View from there was fantastic and you can visit the farm buildinga and find out how people lived there.

Nygård Camping is located between the mountains in Hjelledalen, a paradise for skiing and hiking. The property offers cabins with a private patio and kitchenette. WiFi is available in each cabin.

We found a beautifully located campsite there. The cabins were simple, tidy and clean. The view was wonderful, and the reception staff were very helpful with any questions or requests we had. We had a very, very good meal in the adjoining restaurant and were treated in a friendly and personal manner. For anyone who prefers individuality, freedom and friendliness, this is a very nice place to stay.

Grotli Høyfjellshotell is a historical hotel, built in 1905 and is located just off the scenic road Gamle Strynefjellsvegen and close to the famous Geriangerfjord.
