5 star in everything we needed for a hiking vacation. Wonderful owners, who built the place themselves. The view of the waterfall, just a short walk away from the main part of town so quieter but can easily get to to restaurants, comfortable bed, hot water for showers, excellent breakfast. Vegetarian options too. The price is very reasonable.

Amazing property, waterfalls views, host, and service. We loved our stay. The host has obviously invested in amenities, construction of the lodges, and employs very caring and kind staff. We loved waking up every morning looking at the waterfall and eating all our home cooked and local meals. We would stay again 100%. Thank you, and thank to your lovely team, this was one of our most memorable Peru experiences.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!
