Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort is located on a picturesque white sand beach, and features spectacular views of the crystal lagoon and the iconic silhouette of Tahiti Island. OMG the fish in the water !!! so many !! we have stayed in overwater bungalow - one towards the end of the pontoon and they are a bit better then the ones closer to the beach. We have stayed 5 nights, then in Bora Bora in InterContinental Thalasso on the motu and InterContinental LaMoana on the main island. And this hotel was our favourite!!!!! We did diving and snorkelling tours on those two islands and nowhere else did I see so much fish as around the coral near Sofitel. Even on one morning there was school of baby sharks between the bungalows !! Decor fab ! Food fab ! Grounds fab ! I'm coming back !!! /which I rarely do/ Fantastic view towards Tahiti. The best Hotel EVER !!
On a private beach, Hotel Kaveka features traditional bungalows with cable TV and ceiling fans. Guests can try water sports including snorkeling and canoeing. Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Great breakfast the over water restaurant location had stunning views of the mountains and the bay
Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea is a traditional Polynesian-style resort, located just 10 minutes’ drive from the airport. It offers garden bungalows with a sundeck and private plunge pool. Everything, location, services, staff is awesome, food was great! definitely the best!
Chez Jay Moorea Beach House is located in Maharepa and offers a garden, a private beach area and barbecue facilities. We had a great time here and really enjoyed our stay at Chez Jay. It was perfect for our group of two couples, but could have easily accommodated a few more friends or family members if needed. Jay was an awesome host, we really enjoyed meeting him and learning about his very special place in French Polynesia’s history. Bianca was very helpful and attended to all of our questions and needs throughout the entire process and made communication very easy and effective. Thank you so much for sharing beautiful Chez Jay with us! If you are thinking of booking, I would highly recommend this property. Our only regret was not having a few more days here on beautiful Moorea.
Guests at Fare Apitia can enjoy tropical island living in this self-contained holiday home located opposite the waterfront. You can cool off with a swim in the private outdoor swimming pool. Good location, really nice tropical garden close to everything
Just 328 feet from a private beach, Moorea Golf Lodge offers bungalows with free Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy a bar, restaurant and snorkeling on site. Our hostess was very pleasant and helpful. This is a group of 4 bungalows. Two are near the sea and two are closer to the road and airport. The road is lightly used and there are few planes. They are all small ones anyway. Breakfast was appreciated each day. There was a fan to keep cool in the main room and an air conditioner in the bedroom. That way we got a good night's sleep on the hot nights. Not only did we have a comfortable sleep, we had the sound of surf all the time, which was lovely.
Set in Maharepa, 4.3 mi from Moorea, Tiare Apart offers a garden and free WiFi. Every unit has a private bathroom and shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Very clean and spacious place. Good connection with the host and super polite people! Definitely my place in Moorea.

This area is great to stay at. There are shops, restaurants, Albert tours office, banks, over water bungalows if that's what you are looking for, great snorkeling spots. It was very convenient and we felt safe.
Convenient village within walking distance of the Manava Beach Resort where banks, shopping and restaurants are available. Most restaurants offer free transport so there are alternatives to eating at the resort if required.
Everything you need is here. Activities, rental cars, jet ski, bikes, supermarket, doctor, ice cream, clothing and naturally pearls.... Ate at restaurant at Manava Resort which was excellent. MBC Restaurant on the water recommended and also good. Alberts Rentals do just about everything and staff are great. Not far to walk to most things if based here.
Good trips of all kinds to be had nearby. Good van type cafe just down the road for lunch. Dining out in the evening was expensive. Good thing was a lot of places had free buses which picked you up at hotel and brought you back free.
We loved staying at our hotel right on the water. If you love the sea and water activities this is the place to go. Snorkeling, kayaking & swimming were daily activities. The people are very friendly. If you want to go out on excursions, make your enquiries and bookings a few days before you plan to go. Not all excursions run everyday. Take lots of insect repellant.
Maharepa is just next to Cook's Bay and so you have the wonderful scenic views of Cook's Bay whilst being near to all the facilities of Maharepa. I would definitely recommend Maharepa as the best area to stay in Moorea.
