The cottage was located in an interesting historical mining village about 20 kilometers from Mértola. Situated above a large lake, very quiet and peaceful we enjoyed walking and reflecting on our journey in the area. We appreciated the kitchen facilities to cook a simple dinner. The place was small but cozy.

Perfect spot overlooking the river with a sweet tiny terrace. Had everything we needed. We had salads at the hotel terrace above our room which made a nice change from all the rich Alentejo food! We also had a look around the museum under the hotel, which was fascinating.
