Beautiful location within an old palace full of precious objects. Quiet and calm place, perfect to appreciate the sunsets. Good breakfast. The staff was very courteous.

Hotel O Gadanha is located in the center of Estremoz a 4-minute walk from the Castle of Estremoz. Free WiFi access is available. We stayed one night and were very impressed with the hotel and Estremoz. The front of the hotel looks onto a nice square and the rooms at the back of the hotel have a view of the castle and small patio! I was so impressed to find a room with a view for the price. The rooms are basic. We would have preferred a single bed rather than 2 twins, but for one night we were fine. The mattress was a bit firm and springy for me. The receptionists were very friendly despite speaking no English. The first room we got had a broken toilet and they switched our rooms without any issue. We were able to get everything we needed speaking the little Portuguese we know and some Spanish. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, and there is parking in front. Breakfast was very basic - bread, ham, cheese, chocolate croissants, apples, bananas, coffee, but it was all we needed and we were offered more of everything. I wish we could have stayed one more night.
