We had a lovely breakfast on the deck overlooking the ocean and mountains. There was also a bottle of wine on the table when we arrived. The comfort and beauty of this bungalow is well worth the price. We wish we booked this one for our entire stay on the island. Absolutely our favorite accommodation.

We appreciated fully equiped kitchen and other facilities such washing maschine and dryer. The owner is really nice and very helpful, provided us with a lot of useful info. I would definately recommend to stay here. It's close to all the landmarks and beautiful places.

Composed by traditional rural houses, Tradicampo offers a natural setting in São Miguel, Azores. The houses have been renovated using traditional materials and adding a modern feel. This is a wonderful little cottage in a friendly rural village. It is abundantly stocked in every way including firewood and lighters for the wood-burning stove. Very cosy. There are 2 BBQs, one in the kitchen and one in an enclosed area outside which has a panoramic view to the sea through huge windows. There is also a pretty garden with a patio for sunny days. The management is efficient, attentive and helpful without being in any was invasive. I have no hesitation to recommend Tradicampo.

I did book for a stay of two nights.
I did book for a stay of two nights. As I have no driver's license, I chose to go by bus there. Is it around 5 € from Ponta Delgada and is a 2.5 hours drive. I straight went to my hostel in Pereira which is around 40 minutes walk south from Nordeste. You just follow the street as there is no pavement next to it for most parts. Whereas in Nordeste you have restaurants & supermarkets, you won't find anything despite a cafe in Pereira. I chose Pedreira as you can go on the trail south at the coast. It is a real dangerous one though & you definitely should have hiking boots on. The coastline is just beautiful, but be aware of rockfalls.

Authentic villages, almost no tourists, a lot of nature attractions, natural pools, trails, one of the best beach in Sao Miguel is there - Praia do Lombo Gordo, very cheap services (if you gor to know how they are opened) - food, restaurants, hairdressers. Better food quality that in larger places.

A more remote area of the Island.
A more remote area of the Island. Incredible views and "miradouros" around every turn. It is peaceful and quiet, other than the sounds of the animals which are very charming and can be amusing. Once off the motorway driving is a bit more interesting, the secondary roads can be narrow and twisty. It can also be very foggy in the morning. It is the country so it is not really "walkable" to go to the market for supplies or dining. The local people are very friendly and helpful. This is a good place for a relaxing break.

This was a small but cute town.
This was a small but cute town. Was very quiet, but picturesque. We drove into town, but walked around while there. We spent the night here on our way around the island. We went canyoning near here, so this was a nice location.

This is a wilder part of Sao Miguel, full of wonderful views, winding roads, stunning coastline and wooded hillsides. There are less bars and restaurants than in the west of the island, but most villages have some options. This is primarily an area for scenery and tranquility, and is fantastic for both!

Nordeste itself is a peaceful rural town, easily accessible thanks to the good coastal roads that offer great views of the sea and hills, there is plenty of nature around and some other picturesque villages nearby (Faial da Terra). We drove down the track leading around Serra do Tronqueira which is a must if you're in the area. Plenty of other places to walk (or drive) and explore. There aren't too many restaurants as Nordeste is up and coming as described by our host but there are still some good choices. This was our favourite place on the island because of the tranquillity and nature.
