Everything was beyond expectations! The property was very clean, modern and equipped with everything you could need. The host even left us a delicious apple pie made by his mother and a little bottle of “tuica”. The yard is spacious and cute and the outside dining area was definitely a plus! We also had a little cat Tomita that was very clingy and playful.

Nice location in a quiet neighborhood, easy access by car, within close reach to various sightseeing mountain routes. The accommodation is at the upper floor, accessible by wooden stairs from a backyard with barbeque area and a generous garden (shared area with other visitors). We had the pleasure of spending 3 days in Slănic Prahova at Pensiunea Deceneu in mid-May. I booked our stay on Booking.com, and I was a bit hesitant because I've read a few negative reviews on Google, but after also reading the positive reviews, I've decided to give it a chance. Most of the negative reviews complained about poor lodging conditions and food, and even about the bad attitude of the owner. But, after my stay there, I can only say that I have found ABSOLUTELY no valid reasons for such complaints. For those looking for the utmost luxury accommodations and MICHELIN Star food presentations, this is NOT the place for you! HOWEVER, if you are looking for a place with reasonable rates, that offers a beautifully designed rustic environment, with clean rooms, excellent tasty food, and a warm welcoming by the friendly owners, then Pensiunea Deceneu is an excellent choice!!! The location is very conveniently close to all the local attractions (the salt mine, salt lakes/baths, etc). The closed-in private yard is perfect for families with children, and I've noticed they even allow pets
