Nestled among the white sand beaches and hills on the island of Mahé, Ephelia has luxurious suites and villas overlooking the Indian Ocean. Everything was perfect. Awesome resort in a gorgeous spot in the island. Special thanks to JORGE David , Quality Director who really makes the difference.
Located on the east coast of Mahe, Chrisent Residence offers a lush garden, terrace and BBQ facilities. This homey house is located in Port Glaud, just 1.2 mi from the beach. It is a wonderful spot. Madam Christa is a wonderful host and the environment is so peaceful and calm. From this location you are quick on all spots on the island. Her dogs are the kindest in the world, and we will miss there presence in the evening and morning times.
Set 1.8 mi from Ile Therese Island Beach, Cashew Nut Grove Chalets offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. Amazing place to stay, like a home away from home. Mike has thought of everything you may need during your stay including food in the fridge. He used the best quality equipment in the chalets. The balcony is amazing to have your meals or just chill out and enjoy the jungle scenery. The location is good, close to many of Seychelles top beaches which you can enjoy during the day, and also experience the serenity of the jungle at night by your chalet.
Featuring a patio with pool views, an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace, Coconut Climb can be found in Mahe, close to Morne Seychellois and 1.6 mi from Grand Anse Beach. The location of the house is amazing, it’s really special with an amazing view. There is absolutely anything you need, can be found in the house. In addition Vivienne is such an amazing host, taking care of everything that we needed. Highly recommended with family or even two families.
Sauzier WaterFall, the several beaches which you can drive down and take in the scenery. Local restaurants are more fun, you need to go and try it out. The resorts food is good, but going out and eating local food and restaurants, makes the trip more memorable. Renting a Car is very important (and in advance) it is not only cost effective, but also easier for you to get around and that is something you want to do in Seychelles. Local bars and wine shops are found through out the place, stack up your beers daily, saves quite a bit.
The sence of being back in a climate with wind and rain was lovely, the staff are so helpful and attention to details is a compulsion with the group. I would highly recommend this as a location for anyone planning on visiting this unique island.
Worth hiring a car or a driver for the day as individual taxi rides are very expensive. Very beautiful, amazing beaches! Some fantastic beaches for snorkelling or just relaxing. The seafood in all the restaurants is freshly caught. If you are lucky you will even see the fisherman pull up in his boat with his catch. Cocktails tend to be very expensive, best to stick to beer.
the city is very small. there is not much to do except for excursions and visiting other small islands. the local buses are nightmare it takes one our from hotel to victoria where there is not many things to do except for temple, clock tower and some local market. the bus ride is very very bumpy and buses are not comfy and looked dirty. It only costs 5 rupees per person. beware though excursions are super expensive. costs between 1700-2900 rupees per person via masons travel agency. we have only done two excursions and stayed in the hotel or went to other beaches. taxi is also expensive 800 rupees to go to baeu vallon or anse royal from hotel one way only. the nature and beaches were very nice. the hotel offers shuttle from hotel to victoria that costs around 600 rupes per person. south and north beach timings are different we were told that from may to november south beaches are wavy and have seaweed problem, lots of seeweed. so we preffered the north beaches. south is nice between dec-april months we were told by locals. The takamaka rum is very tasty by the way :) we found it very hard to eat outside the hotel and we could not see any proper restaurant around. The nature is very nice and peaceful that is what i liked the most, calm, peaceful and lots of birds singing everywhere. On wednesdays, there is also local market in baeu vallon where you can get some food and souvenirs from locals. there are some dogs in the beach and they were harmless i fed some of them with chicken leg and they appreciated it ;)
Quiet place, you need car to travel around the island. The nearby marine reserve, port launay is only 5 mins drive away and is amazing for snorkeling. Port glaud is also 10mins drive away from morne national park
It's paradise on earth; at a quiet, beautiful spot on the island (and a car is recommended). The villas are beautiful and modern. Highlight: the terrace takes your breath away - impressive mountains and gorgeous sea! Ulrike was a perfect host, even taking care of the issue with the rental car we had ... we would definitely recommend Villas de Jardin!
