This is a jewel of a hotel within walking distance from the train station and ferry port in Helsingborg. It is dramatically situated just at the base of the hill and beautifully lit at night time. The rooms have a 1920s feel and are very chic, and the bathroom (shower only) was of a nice size. The room had a tv, mini fridge, and set up to make tea.
The buffet breakfast, which was included in my rate, was beautifully presented and delicious. I did not eat dinner or lunch at the restaurant. The check-in desk is integrated with the bar, which is in the round, and this big entry room also looks very cool and has lots of cozy spaces to tuck yourself away.
I stayed just for one night after a long train ride from Stockholm and Lund, and before picking up a rental car. Picking up the rental car at Sixt was also super us 22 departed from just a few minutes away from the hotel and took me directly up to Sixt in the north of the city.
I would definitely stay here again if I am doing a similar route.
Also, the round elevator is totally cool !! Loved the old-but-modern feeling of this hotel.

While there was a confusion with the gate and door locks, it provided a confidence in security. The kitchen is very convenient, the room and bathroom are big. It's a plus that it is so close to train and ferry station. I will stay here again specially on long days.

Friendly employees, spacious rooms and good location
Helsingborg is one of Sweden’s oldest cities and is strategically located on the narrowest part of the Öresund strait. The Kärnan tower was part of a Danish fortress which used to control sea traffic, and views from the top stretch to Helsingør on the other side. Today, ferries regularly make the short trip across to Denmark and it is a Helsingborg tradition to have dinner on them, an act known as ’tura’.
Although the port forms much of the attractive waterfront, Helsingborg still has several beaches. One is lined by a wooden boardwalk, and the sandy Tropical Beach is under the shade of palm trees.
Norra Hamnen has been regenerated from a dock to modern yacht marina, overlooked by apartments, restaurants and bars. One of these is in Dunkers Culture House, an arts centre designed by the son of the Sydney Opera House architect.
The town hall clocktower is one of the most prominent landmarks and Kullagatan was the country’s first pedestrian shopping street. Väla is one of Scandinavia’s largest shopping centres and north-west is Sofiero Palace whose beautiful gardens are packed with blooming rhododendrons. In 18th-century Ramlösa Park mineral water springs emerge from red rock.
Booking.com’s Helsingborg accommodation includes luxury hotels, cheap hostels by the train station and B&Bs near Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport.

A lovely city.
A lovely city. Slottshagen is a small castle a few hundred meters from the ferry & train station, and during daytime hours, you can pay to go to the top for a nice view of the area. A couple of kilometers from there is Fredriksdal Park, which is a fantastic park and open-air museum. It features a historical mini-folk village that simulates life a century ago, and is very educational, plus farm animals, a botanical garden, and overall great experience for families. This park can easily take a whole day. I wish we could have spent more time in Helsingborg.

Nice city core with old houses.
Nice city core with old houses. Lots of nice pubs, restaurants and cafés. Brewskival beer festival with a very relaxed atmosphere. Taking the ferry to Helsingör/Elsinore ("tura"). Taking the ferry for a day trip to the small island of Ven is also highly recommended.

Good transport links.
Good transport links. Green bus travel- make sure you have a payment card per person. Travelled with husband and had a personal card that we loaded with the currency, to use during stay. Husband used the card to get a ticket and passed the card to me to swipe. Driver said 1 card- 1 person. Good job I had a bank card I could use!! Don't get caught out. No problem on the yellow buses though.

Best on winter when the sea is rough and dangerous. You can watch the container and cruising ships passing by.

Beautiful location outside of the small city of Helsingborg. You will need a car. The hotel is a conference hotel but still manages to avoid feeling cold and impersonal. Our room was very clean and the beds comfy. And the sea view was beautiful. But the best part of our two day stay was dinner. Simple and good quality food served as a small buffet. The young woman that cooked the food and served us was exceptional!! Not only friendly and service-minded, se even offered to prepare a special dinner for the vegetarian with us.
Location very good, parking nearby (very small garage, watch out with big cars). Breakfast was very good, though a bit intimate with some of the other guests not knowing how to keep normal distance between complete strangers.
Plenty of restaurants nearby, easy to walk to the main sights in Helsingborg. Beware, many restaurants are closed on Sunday evening.
Quiet hotel (eventhough it seemed to be fully booked). Water temperature and pressure in the shower was very good - but no vent to get moisture out of the bathroom.
Rooms were clean and spacious with elevator access. Plenty of free parking (reception provide a parking permit for vehicles which you display on your dash). Easy check in. Restaurant was decent and not overpriced. Breakfast was great with plenty of hot and cold options. Would stay again.
Very nice place if you travel by car. Situated in between Helsinborg and Lanskrona. Pet-friendly also. There is nice beach just by the hotel and also very nice walking routes. We didn’t have time to try spa, maybe next time 😉
