With only 0.9 mi away from the nearest coast in Xincheng, Taroko Liiko Hotels features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Amazing hotel. Staff was incredibly warm and the hotel is well designed. 5-10 min drive to Taroko Park entrence. Not that many restaurants/shops around the hotel. Nevertheless, the food of the hotel is amazing and affordable. Furthermore, there is are two convenience stores around the corner.

Located in Xincheng, a 12-minute walk from Manbo Beach, and Eternal Spring Shrine reachable within 5 miles, Taroko Inn offers a shared lounge, a garden and free WiFi. Great location, felt peaceful and out of the city but not so far away that we couldn't have dinner in Hualien. Nice and clean building. Great snacks and amenities. Rooms were comfortable.

It was more a home than a hostel! The "Living room" with a perfect kitchen, included an oven, was such a nice place to spend the evening. Location perfect, maximum 10 minutes Walking to the Train Station and bicycles for free.

We were given a room with a balcony, which had an exceptional view! The hotel was new and clean, and staff was very personable. Location was great--a 5-minute drive from the Gate of Taroko.

The villa was beautiful and spacious. It's a shame we didn't get to use the dip pool because it was pretty cold that time we visited. We loved that the property very private and secluded. It was also walking distance from the beach although I don't think the beach is safe for swimming. It was still very calming to look at. If you have a car, it is a great location..Taroko National Park is a few minutes away!

Xincheng is the closest station to Taroko National Park and...
Xincheng is the closest station to Taroko National Park and was a great place to stay. We were mere minutes from the beach and views of the popular cliffs. The location was not overly developed and we were happy to get away from the noise and crowded places in the bigger cities. Taroko National Park is a treasure and you can tell that it has all been carefully planned out. Every bus stop has information and toilets nearby. The staff were helpful and willing to go the extra mile when we were confused. The buses run about every hour and everything was clearly marked. It was all so organized and we appreciated that so much.

It was close to the Taroko Gorge so it was excellent location for where we wanted to go. Not easy for us to walk around to find a place to eat as we are over 70 and over 60. Thank God there is a seven eleven shop/family mart near by and we ended buy food from there for our dinner. The next night we just ate at the hotel. There is not much choice. Otherwise you have to go to the city about 25 mins away in the taxi to eat. Not keen to do that.

Great train station with easy access to Taroko National Park...
Great train station with easy access to Taroko National Park and a delicious lemon juice shop. Amazing hiking and breathtaking views in the park and at the cliffs. BUT there is nothing else to do here. Very few restaurants, a 7-11, that’s about it for evening activities.

Convenient location to stay to visit Taroko gorge. Very close to the park but much cheaper than staying inside the park. Nothing else to do in Xincheng itself, though. Best to have a car, and don't plan on visiting a lot of restaurants for variety.

Xincheng is not the most convenient place to go compared to...
Xincheng is not the most convenient place to go compared to Hualien. But for the national park you're much closer and there are 2 bus lines bringing you from the train station directly to the national park. There are 2 convenience stores but depending on the location of your hotel they are not really easy to go to. Therefore it's a very calm place located at the ocean and direct connection to Hualien, Taipei and other cities.

So beautiful, quite and full of local culture. Not a McDonalds in sight. Also, Taroko National Park is very close by. The city is surrounded by beautiful mountains, lush greenery and black sand beaches. The food was delicious and local. Many of the small restaurants didn’t have menus in English, which made each experience exciting. The locals are so friendly and accommodating. Tailuge Little Fish Guest House is one of the nicer guest houses in the area.

From $188 per nightThis little B&B is tucked away in middle of banana trees and lush jungle vegetation, 150 m away from the mighty, roaring ocean and close enough to the center of Xincheng to get a decent dinner or hit the next 7-eleven for any convenience you need. Perfect get away! The staff is super friendly and helpful, beds are comfy, rooms are spotless clean and big. What else can you ask for?

The boss is really nice, he picked us up from Xincheng station, and also sent our baggage to the motorcycle rental place. Very good service, nice breakfast. We only stay for 2 nights and they did not make up our rooms, after I called the front desk they passed me the towels and apologize. Not a big hotel , they can be better. Breakfast can give it a miss. We do not quantity but quality.
