The Black Sea Central Hotel is a historic property that is in a centrally located part of Odessa. Despite the ongoing conflict, the hotel continues to provide quality customer service to all of its guests and runs with most, if not all of its amenities in place. I particularly liked that my room was clean, that the property provided a shelter for its guests, and that a delicious breakfast was available in the morning. Also, rooms in the higher floors of the hotel, such as the room I stayed in, are able to enjoy beautiful views of the city.

No part of Odesa is unsafe at anytime. Low prices.

No part of Odesa is unsafe at anytime. Low prices. Not touristy which is a deal breaker for me. Hopefully City Council will understand what I'm talking about. It's my fav city currently. Odesa is an old city. Some of it is crumbling but I like that! Old architecture. Trams on tracks. Electric trolleys. Some streets brick paved. Nice parks. Nice non touristy beaches. Durbyskaya Street has outdoor parties and fun. The rest of Odesa is mostly just normal East Euro life. It has a red light element but so natural&organic, if you're not looking for it, you'll walk amoungst it without knowing and iit's clean.

Odessa does not let you go.

Odessa does not let you go. The diverse architecture, but above all the city is sooooo green. All sidewalks are shaded by gigantic plane trees, every streets is a green alley protecting you from the hot summer sun. There are so many cute little restaurants and bars A must see it the big market, Prizov market, with all the super fresh food. Beaches are prefect for people watching, each attracts a different clientel. Also don't miss out on the flea market I was there while the city was under constant alerts, but people simply went on with their lives. The restaurants were filled, the beaches crowded- people said we cannot sit in our houses all day.

A wonderful and lively city, even in times of war. It is safe enough, the Ukrainian air defense forces are some of the best if not even the best in the world. The city is very beautiful with a big historical centre and a lot to see. The Odesa Opera is wonderful, I recommend to everyone to visit it

Odesa is the best and most beautiful city in the world.

Odesa is the best and most beautiful city in the world. Even in wartimes. There are also so many great places to eat there and ukrainians can make the best food. The city will make a very positive impression on everyone that visit. I will be back in 2½ months and I cant wait. Use the beach clubs in the summer and visit a Rochen store to buy a lot of cheap candy. Visit Privotz market and buy what you need. If the weather is bad then go in spa, eg. Ark Spa or get massage in Formula. If you are in shape then go to an outdoor gym near the coastline. Or look at the most beautiful women there and get married. Or visit Odesa Opera.

The city center is lovely, and the sunrise by the sea is absolutely beautiful. Great coffee and delicious food! Unfortunately, two days wasn’t enough to really get to know the city – but it’s definitely worth spending more time here!

Odesa is a gem on the Black Sea.

Odesa is a gem on the Black Sea. It is truly one of my favorite locations. During the war, there are some risks, especially at night. It is important to have some situational awareness and anticipate where to be if an air raid siren happens. That said, I never felt personally in danger and was able to meet with other mental health professionals to discuss programs during the war. If you have free time, the Opera House is a rare treasure and consider taking in a performance if you can. A little known secret is that some of the best tattoo artists in Ukraine are in Odesa and collectors of this form of art can get inked with rare images.

Everything is excellent as always. One of the best hotels in Odesa, warm comfortable shelter when needed and perfect back up electricity and water. Staff are very kind and helpful and it makes it feel like a second home in Odesa. Fantastic location. I didn’t have chance this time as I was busy all of the day, but I must add the breakfast is the best in Ukraine

I liked almost everything about this place. The hotel is well located, ideal if one wants to walk around the old town of Odessa. The hotel got a very nice atmosphere a bit old fashioned but I liked it a lot. The rooms are spacious and it offers everything you need. The receptionist has always been there and was very friendly and helpful.

I travelled to Odessa at the time when the whole city was in blackout, and this hotel managed to provide to its guests electricity and water, including hot one nearly the whole day. The staff is very friendly and client- oriented. Rooms are big, nice and clean. I definitely will choose this hotel for my next trips to Odessa.

The best thing about this hotel/hostel is its location. Easy walking distance from the city centre and all the bars and restaurants. There's also a shopping mall, with a large supermarket, just round the corner. The room was small but I expected that. All the facilities worked.
