Set in Utah’s Alta Ski Area and offering beautiful views of the mountains, this lodge offers free shuttle service to Alta. It features free Wi-Fi and buffet-style meals. A travel back in time when it was only about skiing. Great atmosphere, excellent flood, eclectic guests.
Featuring ski-to-door access, this Snowbird, Utah hotel has a rooftop outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and three restaurants on site. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all of the accommodations. Beautifully facilities, awesome staff, hot tub and pool. Excellant view from our room. Close location to Octoberfest!
The chalet had alarge dining room table that worked perfectly for all our meals. Two TVs and movies and games were available. The hot tub was a bonus! The stairs by the parking below would benefit from railings for older guests.
Love this ski-only resort. The best snow in Utah. Slower, shorter lifts than their neighbor Snowbird, but the snow is lighter and it has great variety of terrain - from double black hike-ins to wide open blue groomers. So worth the 20 yard traverse from the top of Baldy.
Alta is very chill. It's all about skiing, eating & sleeping well. There is no nightlife in terms of craziness, if you want to see late night music go to Park City. If you want to have a couple beers after an incredible day of powder skiing, hit up the Peruvian, Alta Lodge or Rustler, have some dinner then go to bed. Repeat
Beautiful resort with outstanding variety of runs and usually - excellent snow conditions - and, during the week, uncrowded. Excellent ski school and good value lift tickets. What more could you want. A gem.
A fairly small town but perfectly situated to access the Snowbird facilities. I think the close proximity to Salt Lake City is the reason why it's not more developed - limited hotels, restaurants, etc. You could stay on the edge of Salt Lake City and drive to Snowbird in 20 minutes.
My husband I spent four days at the Rustler. He had been on three other occasions with his dad and brother. This was my first trip. The staff was very welcoming and able to assist us with everything we needed. They also seemed to remember people which gave the lodge a personal touch. While it was expensive between the heated pool, the food, the atmosphere, and access to excellent skiing it was more than worth the money.
