I love the whole farm setting. Chickens, llamas, goats, fruits, vegetables and the increíble quietness is what we needed it. Fully rested from stress. The little cabins were awesome, slept like a baby. The quietness of everything was exactly what I was looking for. Felt very connected with Nature and God. Breakfast was awesome and coffee was delightful. Owners are very involve with the visitors ensuring 100 percent satisfaction. I will be back, for sure.

"Seco," as the locals call it, is a funky little village half way between the town of Taos & Taos Ski Valley. It's location is ideal to visit either the Ski Valley or the town - or neither & just soak up the peace and calm of northern New Mexico. Don't forget to visit the Taos Cow (in Arroyo Seco) - highly rated for it's ice cream (but also an amazing breakfast & lunch spot).
Great little town with lots of character! Close the all the ski areas including Taos, red river, and angel fire. Has some cute shops, great ice cream shop (with coffee) and a couple of great restaurants. It's also not right next to the ski lift so you feel like it's your own little vacation town. Will definitely go back.
It's away from the traffic and crowding of Taos proper, but not so far away that it is inconvenient. Although we spent most of our "tourist" time in Taos, the little village of Arroyo Seco is also convenient to the Taos Ski Valley area for winter sports, and after Thanksgiving, the Bavarian Restaurant at the foot of the ski lift is open for a dining bonus.
We went there to learn about my husbands family tree... we didn't expect to have such a great time. The Royal Bear Lodge, the owner was so nice, and sweet... I wish I could have stayed at week.. the upper bed room was so comforting. With the old style furnishings.
