Just off Highway 2, I stayed in one of their log cabins. Clean. Two double beds. Enough room and with the possibility of seeing a bear or moose depending on the season. I liked the general serenity punctuated by the rumbling of an occasional freight train.

Situated in Pinnacle, Glacier Haven Inn features a bar and free WiFi. There is a restaurant serving American cuisine, and free private parking is available.

We were late for our check-in, but staff waited for us. Great location close to the Glacier National Park.

This East Glacier, Montana lodge was constructed a century ago by the Great Northern Railway. It boasts an on-site bar and restaurant. Glacier National Park is 12 miles away.

It is close to Glacier Park Lodge (opposite side of road), just across from the rail station (Amtrak). It is quiet inside, well equipped and far cheaper than Glacier Lodge. You can pay with card. There is a restaurant in the back of the motel and a small but well equipped grocery store (they even have souvenirs and books). There is coffee machine in the room!
