FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

    We love this city!

We love this city! We love coming back and enjoy all the delicious and amazing restaurants this city has to offer. We always make sure to visit Greek town. Greek Islands our favorite Greek restaurant. We also love to eat at Oven Grinders. Their pizza pies are so unique and the Mediterranean bread is a must! Spending the day exploring The Field Museum makes for a perfect day. They have so many amazing exhibits. There is also the Shedd aquarium which offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the aquarium.

I loved it. At least the downtown part was clean.

I loved it. At least the downtown part was clean. The only thing that the millennium park had the bean area closed because they were fixing. But the natural history museums, the museum of science and industry, the brutal Shedaquarium more I loved the Sky deck. And the history of the fire and how they worked to build the City of Chicago is admirable. Now it's sad to see Latina mothers with their children in the streets asking for money and being careful is the only thing I worry about. un poco. Thank you Chicago. They need a restaurant in downtown with Puerto Rican food. 🥰 Ah! Giordanos the deep 🍕 pizza. Love it.

I used to live in Chicago and I come back occasionally,...

I used to live in Chicago and I come back occasionally, usually on my way through the airport. It's been about a decade since I left and I absolutely adored it then. I still generally like it now but it's starting to need a lot of infrastructure maintenance and the difference between the wealthy and less wealthy areas is starting to be pretty extreme. The cta rails are in bad shape so the rides are quite rough, a lot of the station stops are considerably filthier and have considerably more necessary security presence which I guess good but feels depressing how omnipresent armed police have become, everyone looks kind of defeated and miserable, many downtown storefronts are empty/for lease. It hasn't gotten as bad a lot of us cities yet and there is still a lot to do and see, but it makes me a little more sad now every time I pass through for where things seem to be headed. I understand this is the general state of the economy and society but it's not nice to watch.

Having lived in the area for many years and keeping abreast of the current landscape we were cognizant of our environment and the places to visit and not visit and when and when not. Ride share is the best mode of transportation when going to and from any property.

I loved this amazing, vibey city.

I loved this amazing, vibey city. However, I came in mid-January and it was freezing. Minus 23 degrees was a little beyond my ability to function, and I’m a person who loves the cold! I plan to revisit because there is so much to see. Recommend the Architectural river cruise, and 360 Chicago.

For it being a Motel, the place was comfy and extremely clean! It comes with everything you would need; fridge, microwave, and a very modern restroom. If your also on a budget, these are on the lower hotel prices in downtown Chicago. They remind me of little apartments. My favorite part was the location. It’s pretty much in the center of downtown Chicago so being a tourist I was able to save gas and walk to many sight seeing locations. Ex. The 5 stories huge Starbucks is less than a 10 minute walk and Portillos is about a 3 minute walk!

We were visiting Chi town for the 1st time because of our sons football game..and we can’t wait to come back and stay longer to finish touring Chicago, so much to see. Anyways as far as the hotel, location is awesome..literally smack middle of downtown. There is a fire station on the corner so I’d definitely consider the noise if you’re a light sleeper. Other than that our room had a beautiful city view, was spacious and clean and the continental breakfast had good options. Would def stay again!

We chose the hotel mainly because of the location and price. The location is very close to the center - everything is very close (restaurants, bars, breakfast, parking, park with Gloud Gate, etc ..)The price for a hotel in downtown Chicago was also very good. Thanks to a good price range, we did not have high expectations from the hotel. But the equipment was tidy and we were satisfied with it.

This hotel was a great find, I try not to stay in Downtown Chicago when I visit, but I will definitely return. Location is within touching distance to the Red Line (ideal for Sox Park). Room was spacious and clean upon arrival. All staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay as good as I could have wished, special mentions to Latrina (manager) and Zero on reception.

The hotel is in a very good location, perfect for all activities in downtown Chicago. The room was nice and clean, and I did not hear the much sound from the street with the window closed. However, the door to the corridor did not block any noise, and one of the other doors made a kind of squeaking sound whenever opened or closed, often during the late evening, which was annoying.

This hotel was in a great location! It was also a great price for downtown Chicago. Numerous restaurants and stores were within walking distance. I also liked that you had to use your keycard on the elevator to get to higher floors. The hotel did not offer self park, but there were parking garages nearby.
