FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

I loved it. At least the downtown part was clean.

I loved it. At least the downtown part was clean. The only thing that the millennium park had the bean area closed because they were fixing. But the natural history museums, the museum of science and industry, the brutal Shedaquarium more I loved the Sky deck. And the history of the fire and how they worked to build the City of Chicago is admirable. Now it's sad to see Latina mothers with their children in the streets asking for money and being careful is the only thing I worry about. un poco. Thank you Chicago. They need a restaurant in downtown with Puerto Rican food. 🥰 Ah! Giordanos the deep 🍕 pizza. Love it.

I used to live in Chicago and I come back occasionally,...

I used to live in Chicago and I come back occasionally, usually on my way through the airport. It's been about a decade since I left and I absolutely adored it then. I still generally like it now but it's starting to need a lot of infrastructure maintenance and the difference between the wealthy and less wealthy areas is starting to be pretty extreme. The cta rails are in bad shape so the rides are quite rough, a lot of the station stops are considerably filthier and have considerably more necessary security presence which I guess good but feels depressing how omnipresent armed police have become, everyone looks kind of defeated and miserable, many downtown storefronts are empty/for lease. It hasn't gotten as bad a lot of us cities yet and there is still a lot to do and see, but it makes me a little more sad now every time I pass through for where things seem to be headed. I understand this is the general state of the economy and society but it's not nice to watch.

Having lived in the area for many years and keeping abreast of the current landscape we were cognizant of our environment and the places to visit and not visit and when and when not. Ride share is the best mode of transportation when going to and from any property.

I loved this amazing, vibey city. However, I came in mid-January and it was freezing. Minus 23 degrees was a little beyond my ability to function, and I’m a person who loves the cold! I plan to revisit because there is so much to see. Recommend the Architectural river cruise, and 360 Chicago.

Just a Great City all around - so much to do both in the city and on Navy Pier where the hotel is located. We attended a great new show at Chicago Shakespeare, visited a gallery in the Fine Arts Building, had a delicious falafel dinner on the Pier and walked around the loop and had a Lou Malnati's pizza!

Go to Chicago in the spring and summer.

Go to Chicago in the spring and summer. It was so cold it made walking hard. The hotel itself was very cold because of condensation on the windows. Don't think they were too energy efficient. There were sirens almost every night I could hear.

For it being a Motel, the place was comfy and extremely clean! It comes with everything you would need; fridge, microwave, and a very modern restroom. If your also on a budget, these are on the lower hotel prices in downtown Chicago. They remind me of little apartments. My favorite part was the location. It’s pretty much in the center of downtown Chicago so being a tourist I was able to save gas and walk to many sight seeing locations. Ex. The 5 stories huge Starbucks is less than a 10 minute walk and Portillos is about a 3 minute walk!

Hotel is in great area near restaurants and parks. Dog friendly!!! If you have a dog and are traveling , choose this hotel. Only a 50$ fee here, cheaper then any other hotel in downtown Chicago. Nice rooms, nice pool, nice court yard. The rooms are big and nice lighting. The shower is awesome , rainfall shower head. Free showtime on the tv. Just a heads up, parking on Ohio street garage is cheaper through SpotHero then to pay the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay!! We booked the one bedroom as a family of 3. It was more than enough space and we thought it was a good value. Super clean. Breakfast had plenty of options, although it was packed during the breakfast hours. Location is extremely central to the downtown Chicago area. I appreciate the "security" at the front door. If you're like me, transiting from O'Hare to Union station and need to spend the night, this is the sweet spot at the lower end of the nicer hotels downtown. It's cheaper than Hilton, a lot cheaper than the W, but still pretty nice and definitely more expensive than the no-name hotels and hostels. The staff have been fantastic every time I've stayed here!
