I’m from Orange County where we don’t have anything like the mass transit you have. $20 to get me around for the whole week?? Heck yeah. Saw some bands at The Vic, went to the Art Institute and took in a Cubs game at Wrigley where they came back at the very end. All very exciting and I’d like to come back again. Although everybody told me to stay away during winter .🤷🏼♂️
Chicago still feels like a small town in a lot of ways. Its neighborhoods are often beautiful in the spring and the fall. It's got a fantastic art scene, which is great if you're there alone. Lincoln Park is one of the prettiest in the country.
Beautiful. Clean. Friendly. Easy to navigate. Our first day, we took an See All minivan tour of the city. Our driver was a local and very informative. Recommend activities that helped us plan the rest of our stay.
Chicago is a great city. Lots of thing to do, easy to get arround on public transportation. Lots of attractions, good food and music. Be aware of the cold and wind, most of the time of the year... "Windy City".
Chicago is a great place to visit historically and for great fun. You have Buckingham Fountain, Navy Pier, the Riverwalk along the Chicago River, Grant Park, Museums, etc. Great eateries and plenty of sight seeing tours. Plus, Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park which is great for kids. There’re plenty activities to do for the whole family in Chicago. Transportation is awesome - you can easily get around via public transportation, EL (train), or taxi.
The city is beautiful and so clean. I took two tours - one was a boat tour and the other a bus tour. I saw only one example of graffiti because the city was so clean. And, Chicago was friendly. It was like a southern city for friendliness. If you live far away, you only hear bad things about Chicago, but city center was wonderful. Please make the necessary changes in the south, so Chicago is perfect. Had a great dinner at RH, and actually ate a few times at the Hyatt for convenience; the food was exceptional for hotel food. Be sure to take the Architectural Boat Tour, and definitely take a city tour if it's your first time. Oh, how could I forget. Read The Devil and the White City, and then go to the University of Chicago where the only building remaining from the 1893 World's Fair houses The Museum of Science and Industry. Seeing that building was worth the entire trip.

This place is a perfect base for exploring Chicago. It is within walking distance of downtown Chicago but there are also great train links all over the city. Don’t be put off by the train line running past the hotel, the windows are thick so they block out most of the sound. The hotel is really quirky and the coffee shop/cafe downstairs is brilliant. There is also a great kitchen and games room, although we didn’t get chance to use them. We are travelling around so loved the fact we could use the laundry facilities too.

The hotel is connected to a bar and a night club (there is no noise in the rooms), and has a cute coffee shop at the lobby. And it’s close to lots of good restaurants and all the main downtown attractions. It was the perfect place to stay in Chicago for the first time!

Perfect. Beautiful building, great staff, amazing location. The Up Room bar at the hotel is a must on a winter night when you can see the whole city lit up. Great for food, drinks or shopping and it's only takes a few minutes on the train to get into downtown Chicago. It's definitely not the cheapest place to stay, but it's well worth it.

Perfect location downtown. I have stayed in quite a few hotels at the North end of the Magnificent Mile and Raffaello was up there among the best. The room I was given was huge, fully equipped and simply a pleasure to be in. I will always try to see if they have availability before looking for alternatives.

Very nice, no doubt about it. I have only one complaint. There were always piles of bedding in the hallway. Past that, it was very enjoyable. My wife and I enjoyed our king suite. The hotel is perfectly positioned for waking around downtown Chicago. We will be back for sure!
