FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

It's nice city, pretty clean, urban zone.

It's nice city, pretty clean, urban zone. Good food (pizza, hotdogs, latino and serbian restourants), great and friendly people in general. The thing I didn't like, there's a lot people which has mental problems + homeless, that was so sad and in I didn't feel 100% safe in subway. Anyway, it's recommendation to visit the city for sure. :)

it was great , getting around was easy but all the tickets machines gave no change and you had to put in a code before your pin to get your credit card to work.[ foreign travelers] $10 for a day pass for 2 great. food was good, beer and wine were expensive. $13 glass wine, pint of beer $9. but that didn't stop us .

There is so many things to do in Chicago so I did not get to do everything I wanted to do in my 2 day stay. I will definitely be going back. The navy pier, the river walk, the skyline, it was beautiful. I went for the taste fest and everything I tasted was delicious.

We headed to Navy Pier as soon as we got to Chicago.

We headed to Navy Pier as soon as we got to Chicago. I always enjoy the activities and casual people vibe outside. Inside there were tourist shops and lots of food options. We took a taxi from Navy Pier to Millenium Park where a jazz festival was in full swing. After spending some time there we walked up Michigan Ave and perused the stores and watched street performers. After a break at the hotel and dinner we headed out to a night-time architecture boat tour from the Riverwalk. That was my favorite part of the trip I think. I have been to Chicago several times and there is always something different to do.
