I like the different speed limits of the drive.
I like the different speed limits of the drive. Great view. Interesting place. The hotel area was so quiet and peaceful. Off season most restaurants were closed so we were left with limited choices. Getting around was very easy.

We enjoyed the beach.
We enjoyed the beach. It was very clean and not crowded. We also took a tour to see the wild horses. We saw several taking a stroll on the beach as well as many grazing in people's yards. We also took in the Cork & Craft on Wednesday. It was enjoyable to taste different local made beers and wines as well as local crafted clothes and jewelry. There is much to do and I wish our stay could have been longer.

Beautiful area, we would have loved to be able to take a wild mustang tour and drive on 4WD beach but all tours I saw advertised were booked during the time of our stay (advance online booking is a must) and I was concerned that my AWD car may get stuck in the sand on 4WD beach so next time we will look into renting a 4WD vehicle or ATV (again, well in advance of our trip). We loved our dinner at the Village Table and Tavern. The views and sunset were majestic and the food was fantastic.

We didn’t know anything about OBX before arriving. Corolla was a good choice for our first time for location, accommodations, restaurants, tourism, traffic, etc. We may explore another location next time just to learn experience more about OBX.

Only complaint would be that many food establishments have weird hours of operation along with the stopping of certain menu items at times. The location is great and gave us the feel of a small town.

The property is located in a perfect area and the only hotel on the sound. The staff was amazing and always aiming to please. The water sports is right there for you to book for excretions. It was clean and the maids are super friendly! You get to use the pool on the beach side. That was a bonus. They had food and drinks there. The pool on Inn side is great too. Owners are on property and you can tell they care about the property and guest! I have not one bad thing to say or change! We will return!

His constant communication and friendliness to us is a great indicator of how his hotel treats guests like family. The suites were appropriate for our family of 5. They are spacious (lovely use of space) and well equipped with useful appliances for a long or short term stay. The couches and beds are very comfortable. The hotel was exceptionally clean. This inn as a great alternative to Airbnbs. we highly recommend.
