Located in Dahlonega, Georgia, this mountainside resort features on-site horseback riding. Guests can enjoy access to a swimming pool and outdoor hot tub as well. Morgan and Virginia were the definition of hospitality. They were so sweet and helpful. Morgan was very personable. It felt like i was catching up with an old friend. I loved that the cabin was secluded yet close to the other resort functions. It felt like my own private sanctuary. The dinner was excellent. For my birthday, the dinner staff surprised me with a song and dessert. The prior week was stressful but but the one day I stayed here overshadowed that. I will absolutely be back.

Barefoot Hills, The Dahlonega Square Hotel & Villas, and The Limelight Inn got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Dahlonega.
Apathetic guest service! Annoyed that we were having trouble with the self check in. Didn’t really apologize or care that we had hundreds (NOT an exaggeration!) of dead bugs all over the bathroom vanity, sink, tub and floor. The restaurant didn’t do much to entice you to want to eat there. $21 for eggs in the morning is a little steep. Not sure the bottles of wine for sale are worth $30 + Great concept but lacked the needed service and experiences to make it a successful concept.
Dahlonega is a lovely town in beautiful North Georgia with lots of vineyards and views of the mountains . The downtown square is quaint and very walkable. The shops, however, are touristy and generally lacking in things that people really want. Some quality shops and cafes would help greatly.
We liked the night carriage ride. We eventually were able to use our hot tub but after two days of maintenance. Most of the staff was friendly but there were some who were rude. I expected more for our money. My husband and I made the most of it but we won’t be back.
Dahlonega is a great little town. Plenty of shops around the square. The town has its roots in gold mining, so there is a gold museum and a couple of gold mines that can be toured. The restaurants cater to just about any pallet and not overly expensive. I see a trip to Dahlonega as a great weekend destination, or a couple days in the middle of the week. We went the last week of October. The leaves were at their peek!! Gorgeous !!
I went to school in Dahlonega and loved my time there. We come back to visit occasionally. There’s plenty to do if you want to get out and be active and there’s shopping: dining on the historic square. If you like history you’ll enjoy the area as well, and should look at a mine tour.
It was a perfect family wedding weekend. Loved the area, the trees and hills are just beautiful. Went tubing while traveling to Dahlonega and just had a great time. Got a chance to rent a boat with some family on Lake Lanier (about 1 hour away) and was just in pure heaven!
Dahlonega
Room was great. Private balcony was perfect for quiet time when other traveler was sleeping. Breakfast was fabulous and we also had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Location is wonderful for travel to nearby areas...Blue Ridge, Helen, Dahlonega... Horseback riding was a fun excursion. Walking amongst the grounds beauty way to get out and stretch your legs.
Great location, pleasant check-in experience as well as pleasant check-out experience. Room was very nice with sweeping view of mountains behind Dahlonega. Everything worked in the room and there were no noise problems at night. It was very easy to access the WIFI.
The location was lovely with the hotel sitting up on a hill. The outside spaces were nice too. The dark night sky was a real treat (the hotel should switch their night lights off to make more of this experience).
Dahlonega
It's an older hotel with the doors opening outside. Although it appeared clean and there weren't any obvious issues, it still looks pretty old. The elevator is very small and had a funky smell.
The room was clean and comfortable. It was close to downtown Dahlonaga and easy to find from GPS. This is a basic hotel with a beautiful view ( if you are on the right side) of the mountains.
Location being on the square and walking distance from the college campus was excellent. Facilities and room were pristine. Excellent customer service provided by all staff we encountered!
The location was in the middle of everything. The hotel was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Service was great. Parking was even convenient.
