Host was very responsive, at the last minute we asked if we could check in early, he contacted the housecleaner and got right back to me confirming an early check in. The house is very clean & orderly. There was even coffee with creamer, tea & hot chocolate + instant oatmeal, breakfast bars. A large balcony for star gazing was a big bonus. It's literally 2 minutes to the Yosemite entrance, Tenaya Lodge is almost across the street with several restaurant options. Small creek we could hear running from the balcony, so serene.

One of the best equipped cabins we’ve ever been to. Any kitchen equipment you can think of at great quality , fully equipped play room with Xbox, ping pong foosball etc, 4 large screen TVs, outdoor equipment etc. they thought of everything.

Fish camp is pretty remote.

Fish camp is pretty remote. There's a general store nearby that has some essentials but be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you need anything. Recommended to get supplies on your way in from Oakhurst and drive in to Fish Camp. Overall its the perfect spot to be close to Yosemite. For me personally I'd rather be close to the park than close to town.

We had a great time here, the staff, location and facilities were excellent. Our only disappointment was not staying longer. We are a family of 5, our kids are 15, 12 and 8, they all loved it here and we would definitely return.

The house was huge and had plenty of amenities for our stay...

The house was huge and had plenty of amenities for our stay of 2 nights. Our only problem was that the air conditioning was set remotely via NEST to 76F which was too hot for us at night during the heat wave and there was no way to contact anyone about turning it down. We tried on the thermostat but that didn't make any difference. The house is a little old fashioned in a country kind of way, but perfectly pleasant if you like bear motifs on everything :) and could do with updating the décor. The kitchen and appliances were excellent as was the laundry room. The beds were comfortable and the location perfect for exploring Yosemite, Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point.

Fish Camp, up a very winding road from Oakhurst about 10 miles but takes a long time and then up in Fish Camp, not much there, had to travel back down to Oakhurst for pretty much everthing. It's too bad trees were so damaged by the fire last year, but lots of areas in the park were good. We had great weather in early May and prices for lodging go way up just one week later.

It was a great place to stay!

It was a great place to stay! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was really soft which was nice. There were plenty of outlet options for charging, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The heating and AC were easily adjustable and easy to operate, and the lighting in the room was really good as well. The staff that I interacted with were all very pleasant and kind, and very willing to help! Parking is also great. The only things that weren't so pleasant about my stay were the shower, disruptive guests or maintenance, and the wifi. The shower head in my room may have been broken but the water temperature was nice. During my last night in the room above me, there was constant movement and noise throughout the night from when I went to sleep at 12am to when I woke up at around 8am. I also woke up at around 3am and there was still noise. However, I don't know if that was inn maintenance or if the guests in that room were just being active. The wifi was also spotty and slow at times, but I'm not sure if it was my devices that were the issue or not. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend this inn!

Location and setting were fine. Very peaceful. Definitely NOT good value for our money. Very old, dated, tired room. Shower sprayed everywhere and didn't drain properly. Had to stand in dirty water while we showered. Plumbing not working properly in bathroom sink. Room very dark and dingy. You could not even sell the furniture at a yard sale. We paid $330+ a night to stay here and it certainly was not even close to being worth that price. Pay a little more and go down the road to a beautiful, new resort - TENAYA LODGE!

we stayed two nights at Tenaya and everything was fantastic, the lobby is huge but cosy, the rooms are comfortable, the beds super softs, the restaurant serves extra food and cocktails (try the half dome hot chocolate with Baileys cocktail !!), the place is perfect near the Yosemite south entrance and we receive super clear explanations from Luca for our visit of Yosemite. The top was the marshmallows for smores on a stick to melt in the fire at the entrance of the Tenaya Lodge : FANTASTIC. A lifetime experience!

We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to Yosemite South Gate, but considerably cheaper than staying within the park. It has a free buffet breakfast which includes fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bagels, boiled eggs. The bed was comfy.
