Fredericksburg is a great destination whether you're passing through or planning a Hill Country vacation. There's great choices for eating, (adult) drinking, and live entertainment. Shopping along Main Street is a wonderful assortment of shops to keep you occupied for more than a few days! For history buffs, there are numerous sites to visit and learn, not the least of which is the National Museum of the Pacific War (WWII). For wine aficionados, you're in Heaven. Smack dab in the middle of Texas wine country. Oh, and there are a number of outstanding breweries and distilleries, if wine is not your "thing". If you've never been, you need to plan a visit!

Main street was great and busy with people.

Main street was great and busy with people. The shops were full of interesting things. The restaurants were amazing. The live music was wonderful. The Wildseed Farm was amazing. The Cross Mountain climb worth the view. The pottery ranch was so much fun.....The Catholic Church is one of the painted churches and so beautiful. The people are very nice. Go to Luckenbach Texas and listen to the live music. Great time! Don't forget to visit the Post Office there, such cool stuff.

The bed was okay and the pillows were comfortable.

The bed was okay and the pillows were comfortable. We asked for an additional pillow and did not get one. The free breakfast was non existent. We had to go out to eat for all of our meals which was VERY expensive. If we hadn' paid in advance non refundabe we would have left sooner. My recomendation is don't ever book at this hotel.

It was rainy, but pleasant.

It was rainy, but pleasant. We went to the Wildseed Farm, Barons Creek Winery, and the Pacific War Museum. All excellent. We only stayed overnight and there all lots of vineyards and wineries if you want a longer stay. The downtown is 100% tourist oriented. It is a nice place to visit.

The downtown, parks and attention to detail reflected in the memorial park, museums and reenactment area are all very inspirational and informative. The local vendors are all very friendly and helpful. Our next visit will be at least a few days longer so we can explore the venues, restaurants and nightlife

It is a fun town with quite a few things to do.

It is a fun town with quite a few things to do. It is also in the wine country. All you wine connoisseur can indulge yourselves. The BBQ is great. We ate at the Backwoods BBQ. It is better than Terry Black's. Too bad we didn't have time to try Junebug's and Eaker's. So come to Fredericksburg to get drunk and get fat.
