Very Beautiful town with a lot of history. If you're into shopping, museums, and wine this is a must for anyone. This was our first trip and it was everything that others had told us. The people where friendly and the food was excellent!

The live music options were great, as were the people of the town. For live music the Luckenbach in Fredericksburg was the best! Don't underestimate the main strip, we took two days to complete all the shops and treats on the main strip and don't forget the wine - so many Vinyards! (If you are looking for fresh peaches - the season is Mid-May to Mid-August) sadly we found out the hard way. Shops close early (5pm) and we were unaware that many shops are closed on Sunday. Great place for bridal and wedding parties!

If your plans include heavy drinking with great food then you’re in the right spot. Shopping is knicknack items and expensive clothing. Prepare for a long walk and waiting to eat for at least an hour at all restaurants.

We made it to the 4th of July Parade, Farmers Market, and the Lady Bird Park Fireworks display during our stay which was very exciting. The wine-tasting experience on Main Street was awesome. We will be going to return. We recommend Fredericksburg to all especially families.

It is always crowded. There are no parking places. There are not enough restaurants that serve breakfast. Finding a decent meal at 8 pm is impossible. It has become a tourist town. Driving there from Austin is a nightmare. And it appears that people idolize wine tasting over everything. Prices are sky high. I won't shop there.

Fredericksburg is a clean prosperous town!

Fredericksburg is a clean prosperous town! Makes you feel good to see businesses thriving, people traveling, eating nice dinners, shopping and enjoying their time! Love the buildings, the natural landscape of old trees and brush with cactus! Very easy to get from vineyards to restaurants and our accommodations. Ate at Texas Sunrise for breakfast. They also serve lunch all day too, so I loved that about the restaurant since I’m not big on a breakfast! Must say their breakfast was good looking and we all enjoyed our meal. We had the nicest server and their bathroom was clean and big! Had the most delicious pizza at West End pizza, cool place! Definitely not lacking in excellent places to dine! The Christmas store was a beautiful store with a great selection of jewelry designers like Ronaldo and Julie Vos. Beautiful ornaments, beer steins, artwork and glassware! Definitely save some time for shopping!
