The home was located close to downtown and the springs. Very quiet area but lots to do nearby. We had a short drive to the springs and to resteraunts. We liked the home was equipped for cooking eventhough we ate out mostly. The fire ring was fun one evening it was not rainy so we got firewood which is on sale roadside everywhere. The dog was comfortable and the yard was big enough to play in. We will be recommending the property to other friends in the future. The hosts were great at communicating and the check in and out was smooth. Will be back again!!!

Plans to go tubing / kayaking but Tropical Storm Debby caused major flooding and unable to go on rivers or visit springs during planned trip.
This one has a last minute scramble for a place and found this property which far exceeded expectations.

Wonderful hidden gem!
Wonderful hidden gem! This is an Old Florida small town with cute shops and boutiques downtown and a musical venue. Close to the mineral springs of the region, this is a good location to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle or for visiting the springs. Plenty of dining options, Dollar General is right there in town as well as a CVS Pharmacy. You’re also right up the road from Gainesville 24 miles. Lots to see around this hidden gem.

This area of Florida is often overlooked by tourists, but the nearby springs, such as Ichetucknee and Ginnie are some of the most awesome in the USA, and sought for swimming, tubing, canoeing and diving. Downtown High Springs, with abundance of small, locally-owned businesses, makes one feel they are in a different, more peaceful, less stressful time.

The Country Inn in High Springs Fl, wasn't what
The Country Inn in High Springs Fl, wasn't what
I expected. I expected a nicer room, the room wasn't completely clean, very dusty and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke..
The one good thing about our room, was the beds was comfortable, and it was roomy, other wise it needs some very through cleaning .
The most disgusting was the strong cigarette smell.
Ps;
The staff was friendly.
The room was roomy, the beds were comfortable, but the Cleanness wasn't the best, very dusty and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, to point we were unable to breath at times.
If it was cleaned more thorough and cleared of the strong cigarette smoke smell, it would definitely be a nice motel to stay.
But right now, I wouldn't recommend
staying there.
With some improvements, it would be a nice motel.
I don't recommend staying, if you don't like smelling cigarette smoke.

High springs is so quaint and lovely.
High springs is so quaint and lovely. Popular for springs but not overcrowded. Very country feeling. Home to so many beautiful places to visit. No doordash though (which i kind of expected) which was a bummer and not many delivery options available near where we stayed. But we were less than a half a mile from 2/3 different stores so that worked perfectly.

To accommodate our late arrival, someone called to confirm approval to charge my credit card, provided our room number and said the key would be under the mat - AND IT WAS! My receipt was in the room for me to sign. No where do you find this trust these days. This one thing made our trip memorable. The room was nice and clean and I loved the green tile in the bathroom! We arrived late and left early so I never met the property manager/owner/office attendant. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely try to stay here.
Located near the heart of High Springs in a historic and charming house, each room was well-appointed and unique. The back garden offers paths, swings, koi ponds, and pergolas. Hosts were so friendly and made the stay even better. Nearby fresh-water springs are a Florida treasure, Downtown High Springs is full of good restaurants, shops including antiques, and other amenities, all locally-owned.
Location was good and the staff was super friendly. This is an old, but renovated hotel, very spacious. The pictures are accurate, so know before you go. The shower was good and hot but you couldn't move the shower head or change the pressure, so short people beware. Lol
