A stunning place with cozy cabins, it is absolutely silent (except nature). Great for a retreat from everyday life, but still with accomodities. Yellowstone is near, but the whole area is awesome. Very friendly personnel.

not anything like they described. this place wasn't in a wilderness. it was in a cow pasture. about 500 yards from a major two lane highway. no towels, luke warm shower, no drinkable water, derelict check in person using a delipated trailer for storage.
Island Park is an incredible destination, close to Yellowstone NP and many other scenic areas. it is absolutely beautiful. My family has been traveling here for many years and we will continue to in the future.
Enjoyed hiking in Harriman State Park. There are many trails to explore with gorgeous scenery. Mesa Falls is a must see. We also took a ride to the top of Sawtell Observatory - 10,000 feet, a little over 11 miles, 30 minute ride or so. The ride is on a well maintained gravel/compounded dirt road - we had no problem with our Prius. Unfortunately due to smoke, we didn't get very clear views, but on a clear day, it's worth the drive. Also, suggest eating out Trout Hunter. Great views and food. My husband ordered a Bison rib-eye which was delicious.
Great location - easy access to the main road. Newly rennovated. Comfortable beds but really soft pillows. Great shower head and water pressure. The restaurant's food is wonderful - too bad they can't find wait staff to stay open everyday.
The room was nice, but as I said before, some staff needed to be there to take care of guest's issues. The best part of the stay was when the young lady in room 19 and her children invited my grandson and me for dinner when I asked where a grocery store or drive in was. That was the greatest gesture anyone has done for me and my family in years. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with her and her well behaved children.
No housekeeping for the 3 days we stayed there, even had to take out our own trash. Lobby was staked with trash. Bagged breakfast was the same every day with over ripe fruit. If you take away services the price should drop. Not a good value at all. Would never stay here again.
Within 12 or 13 miles of the West Yellowstone entrance at a cheaper price than hotels there. We were in a King room. Gorgeous room with exceptional bed, pillows, towels and a HUGE TV. Has a real "log cabin" kind of feel - even though it is a hotel. Nice sitting area coming into the "C" building if you are travelling with another couple. Breakfast was sufficient with some hot and cold choices. Sprinkles with the porridge included crushed walnuts and dried cranberries which was a nice touch.
This is a brand new property opened in June 2020 , next to the River. It look and felt like Ritz Carlton at Lake Tahoe . Breakfast is also good during Covid times. Have a dining option in hotel .It has very beautiful views of the river. We stayed during Snow storm so pictures did not justify the beauty . Would stay here again for sure
Cozy room, beautiful view out the back door with friendly hosts. Restaurant on site wasn’t open so the staff recommended “Trout Hunter” restaurant 1/4 mile away. Great dinner & breakfast. The lodge is about 35 miles from the West Yellowstone entrance, but MUCH quieter.
The location was quiet, easy to check in/check out, and had all that we needed in the room. We went to the Yellowstone Playhouse, so Drift Lodge was a perfect location for that. Price was reasonable compared to other places in Island Park.
The cows woke us up each morning! The beds were very comfortable and the location, though the road was a little rough, was only 30 minutes from West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone National Park
The hotel owner is hospitable and nice. It's really a nice experience to stay here!
Location - it’s close to west Yellowstone entrance. 30 mins drive.
A stunning place with cozy cabins, it is absolutely silent (except nature). Great for a retreat from everyday life, but still with accomodities. Yellowstone is near, but the whole area is awesome. Very friendly personnel.
Family of 5 had a great stay. Convenient to Yellowstone and the sights you are most likely visiting.
Fabulous location with views of the river. Easy access through the patio door to let the dog out!
