On Main Street in the heart of central Mackinac Island, this historic hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, deck, and restaurant. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property. So much to like, where do I start. The fudge, the room, the view, and the staff were great.
Offering free WiFi, Pine Cottage Bed & Breakfast is located in Mackinac Island, within a 6-minute walk of Fort Mackinac. This property is located a short distance from attractions such as Arch Rock. Excellent location and very personable staff. Felt that I could have my own private time even with a shared bathroom. Really no problems at all!!
Serving a daily hot breakfast, this Mackinac inn features free Wi-Fi in every guest room. It is on Mackinac Island, just one mile from the island airport. The place is absolutely lovely. The grounds are gorgeous, the room was huge with a beautiful bay window and the breakfast was delicious. The bicycles they have for rent are decent quality and reasonably priced.
Place is good but you can cover all the sightseeing attractions in 8 hours with leisure and breakfast lunch and dinner at the most 10 to 12 hours. point is no need to stay on the island in ridiculously pricey hotels.
The island is wonderful but at this time of year there were too many people and bicycles! We spent most of our time walking and enjoyed getting away from the crowds on Main Street. I recommend going in September after the kids are back in school! It was delightful not to have any motor vehicles and the horses and wagons added to the atmosphere. Wish we could have had more time to explore. Would like to walk all the way around the island next time but there were things we wanted to explore in the downtown core. We had nice meals at the Pink Pony, Smokey Joses and breakfast at the Pancake House. I was hard to get a reservation but we adjusted our eating schedule.
I've been coming to Mackinac every year for most of my life. This time, it is losing it's luster. Town appears dirty, for the amount of tax revenue created. Also I don't ever remember so many dogs everywhere. Not everyone enjoys your pet the way that you do.
Biking on roads with no cars. Walking in the state park. Dining at the carriage house the grand and the pink pony. Enjoying watching the horse carriages used for transportation. Touring the grand Hotel.
This is a cyclists and horse enthusiasts dream vacation. What is the worst that can happen, slip in horse droppings? Oh Yeah, wreck on the hill without wearing a helmet that you can go 50 mph on, bad ending to a vacation. The horse drawn tours were very informative and also entertaining. The Murray's staff was very warm and helpful. I would stay there even though the mattresses were very stiff and encouraged my back pain.
Mackinac Island is such a beautiful place to visit! There are so many historical places to see, great restaurants to try, fun shops and tons of places to sit and people watch! There's so many beautiful places to take pictures and make lasting memories! Absolutely check out the Chuckwagon for breakfast and Smokey Jose's for great food and drinks! And be sure to get the giant caramel pecan turtle at Sander's!

The location was perfect! Restaurant downstairs great. Kids loved the pool.
