Featuring a private beach area and on-site restaurant, Beach Cottage Inn is located in Lincolnville, Maine. Free Wi-Fi access is available. A cable TV and air conditioning are included in each room. The inn is located on Route 1, so there is traffic going by at all hours. We were in the second building to the left of the restaurant, on the first floor. This apartment has a complete kitchen, so you can cook any meals you want. The entire place was spotless, except someone forgot to clean out the coffee grounds from the pot. All the dishes, glassware and pots and pans were nice and clean. This apartment has a full size TV in a comfortable living room just off the rear deck, which looks out at the ocean. There's a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The front bedroom has a queen size bed, the next room, two twin size beds. It worked out beautifully for our group of 4 adults. One small bathroom has a superb shower with lots of hot water. We were there the last week of August, and it was very quiet. Lincolnville is a great central location for exploring the Maine coast. The owner is very friendly. We were very comfortable there and would go back again. Loved having coffee on the deck each morning, watching the lobster boats leaving the harbor.
Offering panoramic ocean views, this Lincolnville inn also features free Wi-Fi and uniquely decorated rooms that feature plush bedding and a fireplace. Camden Village is 4 miles away. The location was fantastic. The views from the room and the room itself was amazing. The only disappointment was that we werent staying longer.
Located in Lincolnville, Victorian by the Sea has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a restaurant, a shared lounge and a garden. We felt absolutely at home at Caroline‘s. She is a wonderful host, the breakfast was excellent, we are definitely coming back!
I enjoyed the quietness of the location. Cabin 81: The outlet by the coffee pot does not work, the microwave turntable does not work, the Bose radio remote had no battery in it. If there are only two chairs in the cabin, one should be a recliner or at least provide an ottoman. Every cabin should have a full-sized refrigerator for those vacationers staying more than just a couple days. There seems to be plenty of room for a large screen TV. Upgrading the coffee pot to a Keurig would be a great idea for those who would like to bring their own coffee pods.
Staff was fabulous! Loved the cabin in the woods, but only 15 minutes to shopping district. Rested, hiked Mt. Battie, relaxed, shopped, and at the end of the day enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the screened in porch, listening to the birds a reading a good book! We will be back!
Point Lookout was so picturesque and had everything that we needed for a lovely weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer. There were plenty of antique shops and restaurants within a short drive. There were options for outdoor activities such as hiking, snow shoeing and skiing. There was a beach on the property and several small grocers close by.
I loved Northport it was near the beautiful town of Belfast. Very friendly people and the restaurants were awesome. And also the shops in the near towns. I just loved being there. In Belfast there was a fabulous restaurant called Rollies the haddock sandwich was to die for i have never had one so fresh and good. And the margaritas. Well what can i say. PERFECT. I will go there again and again.
This is a great area for people who want to see the Maine coast without the crowds found in places like Bar Harbor. The pace is slower and the scenery is beautiful with many small, postcard perfect coastal towns away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more frequently visited tourist areas. There are many wonderful sights in the area, both natural and man-made. The restaurants in the area serve many tasty varieties of food including, of course, awesome seafood. This is our second year in a row to return to this area. We love it!
It was a convenient location kind of in the middle of everything, not much in Northport but not far from Camden,ME which had cute shops and things to see. Lincolnville Beach was not far which had a couple of nice restaurants to eat at!
