Loved Port Angeles. Have breakfast at Shirley Cafe. The locals that work there, Carmen, So friendly and have great suggestions for the area. It’s a good place to travel in and out of the ONP. Sunset on the spit. Take Whale Watching Puget Sound Express tour. Well worth the money. Saturdays Farmers Market a bonus.

This was a Wednesday summer night. Three places we tried to get dinner at were closed even though they were supposed to be open. Staffing issues I assume. The accommodation rates between winter and summer was surprising. I like Port Angeles. Have always enjoyed the town.

Port Angeles is small town for ferrying to Victory BC, Canada and nearby islands. It is easy getting around Port Angeles with a lot of relaxing spots next to the ocean. Port Angeles is well known small town of State of Washington.

If your goal is easy access to amazing natural resources...
If your goal is easy access to amazing natural resources (like the gorgeous Juan de Fuca Strait and ferry to Victoria on one side, and the first major peaks of the amazing Olympic National Forest pretty much in the backyard).... this is a great leaping-off point. As for Port Angeles itself.... if you're looking for a small city to explore, you may be as disappointed as I was. It's more run-down than I expected; admittedly, I'd just come from a 3-day return stay in the warm, lovely, and very vibrant Port Townsend. I was in P.A. on a late July Thursday/Friday, and there was sadly little energy and vibrance to the place. I'd anticipated hanging out for part of Friday, but ended up taking off late AM.

Check out the Wharf and eat some Welly's Real Fruit Ice Cream! Head to Strait Slice Pizza for some amazing pizza! Fast Burrito had some good food and they were huge for the price. Farmer's Market was cute. Walking the downtown area and checking out the shops was fun. Be sure to check out the parks and sights, walk the waterfront, and drive to the Olympic Forest for some awesome hikes and nature walks.

this hotel just looks new but it sucks. very bad heater very loud, and has bad wifi no one fixes it and I asked the front desk what was going on with the WIFI he said nobody come and fix it. one more thing stayed on the 1st floor facing the car parking the room sliding door was even not closed. I realized that on the second day morning What the FXXX! and the sliding door was not even fully closed and was leaking cold air to the inside. Making the room fxxxing cold. BAD BAD BAD BAD

Super 8 in Port Angeles, WA is the best! They gave us a super, wonderful and huge room, which is beyond our expectation. The hotel is clean and spotless. The staff are nice and helpful. The free breakfast is also good. Super 8 is highly recommended and we will stay here again.

Convenient location, located right at the heart of Port Angeles. They have a heated pool and are pet friendly. Breakfast was really good as well, a lot of options to choose from. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable. I would love to stay here again next time.
