Lovely hotel, perfect for solo travelers. Good location, close to The Wharf (restaurants near the port) and The Mall and Capitol Building. 20 minutes walking to Capital One Arena for concerts. Checkin process went smoothly on the tablet, late checkout at 14:00 option available, very nice common area with restaurant and lovely staff than answered all my questions. Also had an issue with my card and asked the staff to pay cash for food at the restaurant and it was possible with fixed amount. The biggest plus for me was the fact that this hotel doesn’t charge a damage deposit. Room was small but functional, with everything you might need. Clean towels and linens, very big bed, hot water, mini fridge, hair dryer. Loved the black out blinds and electronic use of the amenities. Had to make an international call from my room and it was free. Lovely view from rooftop bar.

Love how clean and modern the hotel. Staff super friendly and the location was excellent so close to restaurants and amenities. Navy yard waterfront is steps away and is so beautiful. Short Uber ride to capital hall where all the capital attractions are. Would stay at the Thompson hotel again when I return, and would recommend to everyone! Read a lot of reviews and decided on the Thompson as it was luxury for the right price without compromising any luxury!

Free breakfast- options were varied each day. Even if it was just a coffee and a pastry it saves money. Staff were friendly- all staff friendly and approachable and helpful throughout stay. Gym and pool facilities clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities is helpful when going away for extended vacation. Fully stocked kitchenette. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Excellent location just beside metro green line, next to many restaurants and bars and grocery store within 10 min walk.

So close to the Washington Nationals stadium. Felt safe to walk all around. Great area of town with shops everywhere.

I liked the room. it was comfortable and clean

Location was very good for us. Very close to the train station( short walk) & the “ Big Bus” stop which made getting around convenient for us. Didn’t have breakfast at hotel. Used nearby cafe which was a bit cheaper for us. Coffee area on 2 nd floor was a great place to meet in the morning before heading out for the day & an excellent place to gather at the end of our busy days before heading to our rooms. Quite close to convenience stores.

The hotel was strategically located, clean and spotless, excellent reception, restaurant, room, door men, and cleaning service. Great hotel.

Best location as major attractions are near to the Hotel.

Great location, not just for the ballpark but lots of amenities around and super close to the metro to go anywhere else. View from the rooftop bar was incredible.

Fantastic bar staff and the location to the museums was amazing

I stayed there for a week and would highly recommend it. Pleasant, helpful and friendly staff.--special thanks for providing me a room with a bath! Superb location close to Union Station and Capitol Hill. I would definitely stay there again.

It was a wonderful stay here. The staff, from the manager to the pool staff were simply excellent and very friendly and helpful. Everyone at reception was really great too. We had the bikes to ride twice, very good. The room was great with a great view of the harbour. All in all, a great stay.

Good position, less than 10 minutes by foot from the station. The staff was very friendly. The flat was big, clean snd very confortable.
