Cougar Ridge, hotel in Torrey

Cougar Ridge is located in Torrey and features a garden. The hotel has both free WiFi and free private parking.

The casita was an awesome accommodation, we loved sitting on the deck looking out at the ridge. The property is beautiful and has everything you'd want for a fun vacation including Thor, the largest longhorn you have ever seen. Breakfast was the best we had on our two week trip. The location is unbeatable if you are visiting the parks east and west. The highlight of our visit to Cougar Ridge was the great hospitality. CR is a hidden gem and we'd definitely return.

Check-in was smooth. The room is basic; no comfortable place to sit. The towels are the roughest I have experienced. The pool is enclosed and very hot at this time of year so we couldn't use it.

capitol reef... if you're there mainly for capitol reef, and also arrving on a 4x4. then it's worth it. otherwise the town was too small, nothing to do. capitol reef itself is only 20mins drive, from left to right.

The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed.

The Sky View Hotel was beautiful and artistically designed. The art instellation was so cool. They were very welcoming. Really enjoyed all the extra details they put into making our stay wonderful. They had snacks ready, large water bottles we could use for hiking, delicious fresh ground local coffee and a healthy breakfast from a local vendor. The room was perfect for viewing the stars. We also went up to the roof deck for night viewing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. This is a truely wonderful place. Capitol Reef is a splendid National Park. Not to be missed.

Nice little town in a spectacular location near fabulous Capital Reef National Park. Liked the well stocked Chuck Wagon General Store with attached laundromat and helpful, friendly owner. Especially liked the nearby Color Country Animal Welfare Center which is a no-kill shelter with a wonderful staff, which also provides affordable boarding for people traveling with dogs so they can hike in the park which doesn't allow dogs on most trails. Would stay in the area again.

Torrey is a small charming town.

Torrey is a small charming town. It has several good food options. A local store, the Chuckwagon, that you can find your basic items at plus some more. They had a small farmers market Saturday evening. There is a book store and cute gift store as well. There are many overnight staus here. I reccomend Cougar Ridge. Beautiful!

Here you get all the beauty of Sedona, while leaving the crowds behind. This part of the world is easily some of the most beautiful. Torrey is right at the base of Boulder Mountain which offers all the activities typical to forested areas, while Capitol Reef National Park offers stunning desert rock formations. Enjoy one of America's great roads on Utah State Route 12 -- worth driving the whole thing.

The front desk service is excellent. Brand new hotel and the room was equiped with everything you need and more (kettle, Nespresso and coffee machine, high quality hair dryer, ...). This is extremly rarly in the USA. Bed, shower, furniture, parking lot, ... everything perfect (for us). Even things we don't use like a plenty TV program selection, big screen. Last but not least a lot of free complimentaries like snacks (partly local ones) and beverages.

Lovely hotel perfectly situated near Capitol Reef N.P. and a very scenic drive from Bryce N.P. Fab restaurant next door. Staff are very helpful, we had an issue with our room, minor but they were very quick to fix it and make sure we were happy. And happy we were, great stay, comfortable room, stay here again.

A really nice place. We mostly stayed at the "chain motels" during our roadtip but this place was absolutely a better choice. Nice room, well cleaned. The pool was good. Breakfast the best during our two weeks in the US! Nicely decorated around the property. Thanks a lot!
