United StatesI got some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. So good that I wanted to just stay in bed each morning. Once up though, we were glad that the hotel location was just minutes away from the Mall and other locations that we were visiting. The front desk staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our pooch loved our visit as well. Recommended !

We don't live too far away, but it has been a while since we visited. Our experience as outstanding, discovering not only a very nice and unique place to stay (The Shaffner Inn) but also restaurants, bars and shops we'd like to visit. We've already talked about a return trip bringing friends.

Winton-Salem is a nice town that is full of history.
Winton-Salem is a nice town that is full of history. It has changed quite a bit over the years, but it still has that small town charm. You can fin just about any type of cuisine in Winston-Salem from Bar-B-Que to footlong hot dogs to seafood to international dishes. There is a variety for every pallet. Wake Forest University provides a nice backdrop to the city and the Chicago White Sox single-A baseball affiliate team also adds an element of entertainment to the downtown area. For those who like nostalgic settings there is Old Salem that transports you back in time to a simpler era when life was intentionally slow. Visitors to Winston-Salem will find it to be to their liking for a variety of reasons.

Top Golf was nice In Greensboro.
Top Golf was nice In Greensboro. Plenty of places to eat and shop, but driving in NC is a bit much. From NY live in ATL and thought those drivers were bad but NC drivers seem unsure at times and speed up when should slow down and slow down when they should go a little faster. SMH…I was cut off many times by people who wanted to drive slow, were in wrong lane and then zoomed into me to get off exit like they didn’t know where they were going

It's not pet friendly and if you have to pay the cost of your pet at least have some place or GRASS for them to go it was so bad with dog poop there l left early people were just letting there dogs go over your landscaping that was 😔

The hotel is in a nice location and the breakfast is EXCELLENT. Rooms lack closet space for hanging up clothes. Parking is in a garage for $10 a day and is very convenient and easy to get in and out. Marriott's billing is not great. I learned to make sure we get a receipt from now on. I also did not know that by using booking.com and cannot get any Marriott points. That was very disappointing. Still waiting for them to straighten it out. Why are different Marriott properties handling billing differently? It is hard to get someone at booking.com to help.

We loved our stayed until the last night when disruptive neighbors kept us up all night. The facility was great, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. All the amenities were as listed. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. I would recommend this place but would prefer a different room away from loud and disruptive neighbors.

Breakfast was not exciting, but I did not expect it to be. Standard hotel breakfast fare. Very welcoming , friendly staff. I liked that I could skip housekeeping each day if I wished to. Saved time for your staff, and kept me from using resources that I did not need. Good environmentally and efficiency-wise. Location was great for me, only 2 miles from my family's home where I was visiting.

The receptionist moved us to a quiet room without being asked , which was very nice of her.
The breakfast was good and plentyful.
There is a bar / restaurant opposite the hotel enterance, we used this for our evening meal and found the food good and staff helpful.

Beautiful historic building and very big room. The location was great, easy to walk everywhere. Staff at check in were very nice and provided great recommendations for dinner options. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its charm.

It is an historic property: the RJ Reynolds Tobacco headquarters to hotel. The conversion has been gracefully done: Respectful of this exquisite building. City views are very nice. Decor is very nice.
