We loved everything about Aan Dorpseind. It really is situated at the end of the town. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown to our room which had a small kitchenette, a sitting area and a sleeping area together with a great shower room. There is also a veranda outside with a built in braai (BBQ) . The property has a lovely pool which we didn't use as it was still too cold. The owners are knowledgeable about the area and ready to offer advice on sightseeing. We fell in love with Maskam, the golden retriever who paid us a daily visit. This is a great base from which to explore Namaqualand

The Klawer hotel is something to visit.

The Klawer hotel is something to visit. We had a very interesting meal there. The place itself is not spectacular, but for atmosphere you must visit this Margo's restaurant, if only to see the "Halucinogenic fish" - at least that is what the waitress called the inhabitants of the fishtank that was sitting opposite our table.
